Restaurant Kyo Amsterdam Kyō is a Japanese Izakaya restaurant in Amsterdam Nieuwmarkt area. Casual dining in a laid back atmosphere, the perfect place to unwind with friends.

We serve a large selection of traditional Japanese dishes and many sakes and Japanese beers.

We just finished making a new batch of yuzu syrup for our popular yuzu soda. Made with 100% Japanese yuzu juice!
Also used in some of our cocktails.

We are now open 7 days a week. Visit us on Sundays and Mondays as well. Enjoy a good meal and have a good time.

Starting this Friday we will also be serving a vegetarian/vegan option during lunch. Kitsune udon. Udon noodles in a kombu (kelp/seaweed) based dashi broth served with inari age deep-fried and simmered tofu envelopes.

Other lunch options are Unagi-don and Niku Udon.

Starting this week we will be serving Onsen Tamago Niku Udon (thick udon noodles served with beef and an onsen egg) and Unagi Don (grilled eel with sweet soy on top of rice) served with homemade Dasimaki Tamago for lunch from 12:00 to 15:00 every Friday and Saturday.
