I have been a bit quiet here, and that was because I stepped away from social media for a few days to stay fully engaged in service to God. It was a refreshing time, and I am grateful.

Just a little bit of enlightenment of the my meal Ewa Agonyin.

Ewa means Beans, while Agonyin refers to the people from Republic of Benin, just beside Lagos State (Agonyin Beans). The food takes its origin from there. It can be served with boiled/fried yam, boiled/fried plantain, boiled/fried potatoes, bread, pap, custard, garri (soaked in water).

There are so many cultures, and of course, different kinds of food that come with them. One thing I always try to do is appreciate meals from different cultures, especially those that truly represent where they come from.

I also go a step further by trying to make them the original way, just as they are done in their place of origin.

So someone reached out and said they would love to have this particular meal ( Ewagoyin), and for the first time, I decided to give it a try.

It turned out really nice. I had to taste it myself, because I would not just say it is good without confirming. And honestly, it was worth it.

The only thing is, if you are not a fan of pepper, you might want to go easy on it. But for me, I love pepper, so it worked perfectly.

Overall, it came out really well.
