One of the many questions people ask is how to preserve kulikuli to maintain its crunchiness.
Here are some tips to preserving kulikuli.
FOR RETAILERS
1. After receiving your package, do not just dump it in a place, especially moist environment.
2. Get a bigger sack and put the kulikuli inside it. Tighten the mouth with a rope and place in another air tight container.
3. Do not package all your kulikuli at once, except there are ready to receive customers for all the packs. If not, pack the little ones that can be enough for a particular supply and return the rest to number 2 as explained.
3. Repeat this method until you're sold out.
FOR WHOLESALERS
1. Kulikuli bags should not be placed directly on the floor especially in rainy season.
2. Get a pallet (that wooden or plastic object for placing items like bags of garri). You can get this from any carpenter around you.
3. In the absence of pallet, gather heaps of flat cartons and place them on the floor.
4. On every restock, place your bags of kulikuli on the pallet(s) or cartons.
5. Any bag of kulikuli opened for sale should be
closed immediately, if every content there is not sold out.
6. Above all, get a very big nylon that can cover the whole bags and place it on everything especially if that store is much ventilated. This will prevent air penétration into the bags.
I hope this has answered some of the questions on methods of preserving your kulikuli.
