WHY SOME FRIED RICE SPOILS QUICKLY 🤔
Have you ever wondered why your fried rice gets spoiled so fast, while some people's fried rice stays fresh much longer?
The secret is in the "frying."
Many people simply cook their rice separately, stir-fry the vegetables for a few minutes, then pour the vegetables over the rice and mix. While this may look like fried rice, it doesn't go through enough frying to reduce the moisture from the vegetables.
Vegetables naturally contain water, and excess moisture can make food spoil faster.
For fried rice that lasts longer, don't rush the process. After combining the rice and vegetables, keep stirring on low heat for a while. This helps reduce excess moisture and allows the flavors to blend properly.
Remember: it's called fried rice for a reason. A little extra time on low heat can make a big difference in taste, texture, and shelf life.

On Sunday, one of my customer turned friend sent me a message that left me laughing.😄😄
She said, "Babe where is my parfait? It's been too long!"
Then she told me something interesting.
Apparently, her neighbor also sells parfait and had been asking her, it's been long you bought parfait from me, what happened?"
Meanwhile, my customer didn't know how to explain that after tasting D_Laurels Parfait, her taste buds had quietly relocated. 😅
Then she dropped the real gist.
"My husband is coming back on Tuesday. Please, whatever you're doing, I need my parfait before he arrives."
At this point, I was confused.
I asked, "Wait o, what does parfait have to do with your husband coming back?"
Her answer?
"Laura, your parfait is my aphrodisiac."
😂😂😂
Now I'm here asking myself the same question:
What exactly is inside this parfait?
Because this isn't the first time I'm hearing stories like this.
I have a customer in Lagos who says once he tasted my parfait, he stopped buying any other one. He would rather wait until he comes to Owerri before satisfying his parfait cravings.
So tell me, what is the secret?
The creamy Greek yogurt? The fresh fruits? The perfect crunch? Or the fact that every cup is made with love and attention to detail?
I honestly don't know.
All I know is that once people taste it, they keep coming back for more.
