Sometimes, it is not even the big things that make a customer come back.

The way you don't just cook food, but actually think about the person that will eat it.

The way you take your time to select your ingredients because you know you are not cooking for strangers. You are cooking for people who trusted you with their food.

That is the kind of kitchen I am building with NRI BY EBUBE .

Good food is important, but for me, the experience matters too.

I want you to order your food and feel like someone actually cared about what was going into that bowl.

Because honestly, that is the standard I would want if I were the customer.

Nri by Ebube.
Food made with intention.

ā€œEbube, please don’t forget the garri o!ā€

This woman has made garri a permanent part of her soup order. šŸ˜‚

The first time I made soup for them, I noticed they weren’t really fufu swallow people. Their own is garri.

So I made garri for them as their free swallow.

Ah! This woman enjoyed it!

She was telling her daughter, ā€œGarri amaka! Garri amaka!ā€

Since that day, anytime I’m making soup for them, I already know what must follow.

Garri.

And the funniest part? She keeps asking me how I make it so soft and tender.

Honestly, when it comes to pampering my clients, I don’t joke.

I pay attention to what you love, and once I know it, I remember.

Your food. Your preference. My responsibility.

That’s how I like to do business.

Am I the only one that has experienced this thing meat sellers do?

Day before yesterday, I went to the market to buy ingredients for my clients’ orders.

I bought plenty meat because, if you know me, you know I love making my ofe onugbu with different varieties of meat. I like my customers to actually see and enjoy the meat in their soup.

But when I started cooking, something happened.

The meat I bought started looking so small!

I was like, ā€œAh-ah! Wetin happen to this meat?ā€

It then occurred to me that the meat must have been soaked in water before it was sold.

You know how some people soak meat in water so it absorbs the water, increases in size and weight, and makes that ₦1,000 portion look bigger when they sell it?

But once you cook it, all that water comes out and the meat becomes tiny.

That was exactly what I experienced.

And honestly, I was not happy because I had already planned how much meat I wanted in my customers’ soup.

I could have just said, ā€œAbeg, manage it like that.ā€

But no.

This is my business. This is my name. And I know the standard I want Nri by Ebube to represent.

So I dipped my hand into my personal money, went back to the market that morning, and bought fresh meat.

The funny part is that I was supposed to start cooking early and deliver the food around 9 a.m. But because I had to go back to the market for another batch of meat, the delivery was delayed.

The first meat? I kept it for myself.

Now, this happened because my regular meat seller didn't have fresh meat that day. He actually told me that the meat he had left was from the previous day and that I probably wouldn't like it because the market had been slow.

He even directed me to another seller.

Not knowing that I was going from one problem to another. šŸ˜‚

But at the end of the day, I achieved what I wanted.

My customers got the quality and quantity I had planned for them.

And that is one thing I don't want to compromise on at NRI BY EBUBE .

If something doesn't meet my standard, I would rather spend extra money than send it out to a customer and tell myself, ā€œThey probably won't notice.ā€

Have you ever bought meat that looked big at the market but became surprisingly tiny after cooking?

Tell me your experience in the comments. I want to know if I'm the only one.

Someone entered my DM yesterday and asked:

ā€œDo you do payment on delivery?ā€

I just looked at the message.

Payment on delivery?

My dear, respectfully… NO.

You don't trust me enough to pay before I prepare your food, but you want me to trust you enough to prepare everything, package it, send it out and then wait for you to decide whether you'll pay?

Please, how are we both supposed to survive this relationship? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

If you're ordering from me, payment confirms your order.

No payment, no cooking.

Simple.

Because apparently, we both need to trust each other.

Some foods don't need too much introduction.

You see the pot, you see the texture, you see the richness… and you already know someone took their time with it.

This is my Ofe Onugbu.

But beyond the soup, this is what I want my business to be known for:

Food that saves you the stress of cooking when you have too much on your plate.

Food you can confidently send to your parents, family and loved ones.

Food you can order for your home, office, meeting, birthday celebration or even an outreach without worrying about whether it will be properly prepared.

I don't just cook to fill containers.

I cook with the understanding that someone is trusting me with their money, their occasion and sometimes, their loved ones.

And that trust means a lot to me.

So when you order from me, my goal is simple:

Let the food speak for itself.

Ofe Onubu, made with care and ready to be enjoyed.

If you're looking for good homemade meals in Onitsha, you already know where to find me.

Sometimes, the problem is not that you don't know how to cook.

The problem is that you simply don't have the strength to cook.

You have work.
You have children.
You have errands.
You have a house to run.
And somehow, food still has to appear on the table.

Before you know it, you're already tired just thinking about what to cook, buy ingredients for, wash, cut, season, cook, and then wash plates and pots again.

That is where I come in.

At NRI BY EBUBE , I make homemade meals for people who want good food without carrying the whole stress that comes with preparing it.

Whether you're sending food to your parents in Onitsha, feeding your family, preparing for a small gathering, sharing food after a birthday, or simply saying, ā€œAbeg, I need food but I cannot cook todayā€...

I've got you.

And I don't just focus on making the food taste good.

I care about how the food is prepared too, because good food should not only satisfy you. It should make you feel cared for.

So when next cooking feels like another responsibility you cannot handle, remember...

You don't always have to do everything yourself.

Hi, I’m Ebube, and this is Nri by Ebube.

If you’re new here, let me properly introduce myself.

I’m Ebube, the woman behind NRI BY EBUBE . I’m a food entrepreneur, and I make delicious, homemade meals for people who want good food without having to go through the stress of preparing it themselves.

But honestly, what I do is bigger than just cooking food.

I know that sometimes, the problem is not that there is no food in the house.

You’re just tired.

Sometimes work has drained you.
Sometimes you have an event to handle.
Sometimes you want to send food to your parents or loved ones but you’re not around to do it yourself.
Sometimes you have a birthday, an office event, a family gathering or an outreach and you simply need someone you can trust to handle the food.

That is where I come in.

At Nri by Ebube, I take the food stress off your hands and give you well-prepared, tasty meals that you can confidently serve, share or send to someone you love.

From our soups and local delicacies to party jollof and food packs, I’m here to make feeding yourself, your family, your guests or your loved ones a little easier.

And because I cook from home and operate on pre-order, I’m not trying to be everywhere.

I’m focused on doing one thing well: giving you food that tastes like you made the right choice.

So if you’re here for the first time, welcome.

This page is where I’ll share my food, my business, my journey, and sometimes just little pieces of Ebube too.

And if you’ve been here for a while, thank you for staying.

I’m Ebube.

Welcome to Nri by Ebube.
