Ok, so I was at KFC bodija today, looking for a place to chill for someone.
It's been a while so a say make a check wetin I fit use my teeth play with. I'm not particularly hungry, but because I am hanging around, I want to do good boy. At least a go buy something.
So I strolled in
I checked my pocket, for my mind, na miracle anyone go carry me spend more than 2k for grubs that I don't actually need.
So I asked the guy behind the counter the least amount of chicken and chips I can get. The guy say #7,400. I asked him again to be sure I heard correctly. When he repeated it, and said that one carries only one chicken lap. ππΏββοΈππΏββοΈ
I quickly ran my head how much it will cost me to do something similar with my two hands, with plenty chicken to go round the children's belly and my wife's. E no reach that amount for that package.
Hian, I just carry myself go siddon jejely. Shebi na siddon a come siddon before.
How I go carry 7k400 come chop one small chicken lap wey a go still dey vex on top.
If they like, they should come and chase me.
I got thinking, Item 7 go just opened few blocks to the KFC. I've not been there, but I'm sure they have correctly priced stuff for a lesser price. There's hardly any time I drive past, without seeing queues at Item 7 go. But at KFC, you see one or two cars per time.
Item 7 go ambience is much better with water falls and places where you can take pictures. All those young boys and girls like a place like that to do Instagram pictures.
It's an outdoor grub stuff. The environment is much open and it's just like they hit the right spot for stop and buy food.
Now KFC is a franchise, their wahala still pass one or two cars per time. They will have to repatriate dollars back to their country!
This compounds their wahala because all the good money KFC would have made is waiting to be shredded to coins by the time dollar conversion sets in.
If they made #5,000,000 profit after salaries and taxes in monthly transactions, that's just around 3,200 dollars. Imagine.
Naira is truly in shambles and needs to be strong again. There was a time 1 naira was equal to 1 pound, not even dollar. This balablu man should find more things to be done to bring back naira glory. Not compounding the wahala for us. After all, he said it's his turn ke π
So, instead of me to worry my head about why anyone will setup a place like KFC in Nigeria, and still be looking for customers when your grubs are priced to the roof, a just face my business of waiting for the person inside the chilling air con.
Hunger no catch me, if it did, I would have been tempted to chop the small chicken and later find a place to rent my anger of being duped.
