The True Meaning of Being Blessed

Today, I came across a post that made me think deeply about how we perceive blessings in our lives. Someone was asked how they were doing, and they responded with "I'm blessed." The observer criticized this response, assuming the person wasn't financially buoyant and therefore couldn't be truly blessed.

This sparked a reflection on how we often equate blessings with material wealth. But is that really what it means to be blessed?

In my book, being blessed is about so much more than just money. It's about being alive, having good health, and having a supportive network of family and friends. It's about making a positive impact in the world and finding purpose in our lives.

As we say in my culture, "May God not make us persons with just one prayer point." When health is a challenge, everything else fades into the background. Good health is the greatest wealth we can have.

So, the next time you look at your life and feel like something is missing, remember all the blessings you already have. You are alive, you have people who care about you, and you have the opportunity to make a difference.

Yesterday, something I have always known played out in my life, and again I was reminded that when it's time, IT IS TIME. I had struggled with something for a long time - for years, in fact - but the time came, and in less than 30 minutes, it was done. This experience brings me to the crux of the matter: sometimes the pressure and stress we put upon ourselves to see things work is absolutely unnecessary because it is simply not time. And when it is not yet time, you can't force it. If you try to force it, it won't end well and all you will feel is pure frustration.

Let's learn to recognize and respect the concept of times and seasons. Next time when what you're pursuing seems elusive, especially when you've given it your all and applied all the right techniques, rather than sweating it out and becoming unhappy about it, take a step back. Take a moment to really ask yourself if it just isn't time yet. This isn't a call to give up, no - it's a call to be discerning. It's about knowing your times and seasons, trusting the process, and having faith that when the time is right, things will fall into place. Help yourself by being patient and understanding the timing of your life.

My People...

It's been a while, but I just had to emerge from hibernation to share something profound that God has been teaching me lately. Have you ever found yourself in a situation, field, or profession where you felt like there's oversaturation? You're not alone! But here's the good news I'd like to share with you... THERE'S ALWAYS ROOM FOR YOU.

No matter how crowded the field you're in or want to venture into may seem, there's always space for your unique presence. If you can just believe in this truth and dive in with all you've got, you'll witness the manifestation of this reality. The enemy might try to convince you otherwise at some point, but choose not to listen. Instead, hold onto your vision, stay committed, and watch it unfold.

Remember, your distinct perspective, talents, and experiences make you invaluable in your chosen path. Don't let doubt creep in; believe in the vision God has given you, and you'll be amazed at what can happen.

Just in case you do not know, procrastination is your enemy, perhaps one of the biggest enemies you will ever face as you journey through life. I have come to realize that quite a number of us fall into the trap of feeling we always have time to do what we ought to do today tomorrow. It appears that a lot of us do not have that sense of urgency; we feel so relaxed and complacent. Guess what happens when you are complacent? Mediocrity sure sets in. Unfortunately, being a mediocre wouldn't take you to a place of making a meaningful impact or an extraordinary life or future. Let me end this write-up by telling you this: every time you procrastinate, the cost and scope of things change.

Consistency is a sure road to Mastery. You want to master something? Be consistent at it. Our inability to be consistent has robbed us of being masters at somethings we should have been masters at. Know this today, If you do anything based on your feelings, that thing will never amount to something great or important. It must involve sacrifice, making deliberate choices, and being consistent.

The truth is, mastery requires dedication and persistence. It's the small, consistent efforts that yield significant results over time. So, identify what you want to master, create a plan, and stick to it. With consistency and determination, you'll be well on your way to achieving greatness.

Remember, it's not about being perfect; it's about being consistent. Consistency breeds habit, and habit breeds success.

If you do not possess what it takes God won't say you do. It is because he knows that he has gifted you what it takes that is why He has sent you. In all that God has commissioned you to do the question to ask yourself is not "do I have what it takes?" The real question is "am I bold enough to take steps?". Truth is when we refuse to take bold steps when trying to achieve our God given assignments we will never know how much capacity our maker has put into us and it is only when we take that leap of faith we discover how capable and truly gifted we are. It is okay to do it afraid than not to do it all. Launch out today, begin to do what God has asked you do leaving behind every self doubt

Trusting God even when every indicator says otherwise is one place every believer should constantly dwell. Will it be easy? Absolutely not but there is much gain when we trust God no matter what. Our father Abraham has given us a template to work with - Hoping Against Hope, Romans 4:18.

In that situation you find yourself trusting God for a miracle, for a turn around and for a shift, are you hoping against hope?

Have you developed a staying power, refusing to cave when the enemy starts taunting you, oh yes the devil never miss the opportunity of taunting a child of God in the waiting period, don't fall for his taunts, that's one of his favorite weapons against our faith.

Waiting on God can be hard but trust me when I say it is very rewarding too, the trick is to stay determined, insisting on believing God's promises over the lies and the taunts of the devil and also knowing that God NEVER fails.

Today I have been sent to tell you this- Do not give up on your faith, STAY GROUNDED, STAY ROOTED IN GOD AND HIS PROMISES FOR YOUR LIFE. YOUR TESTIMONY IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER. SHALOM!!!

Are you truly busy or are you not just not setting your priorities right?

This is a question I have had to ask myself quite recently. The truth is oftentime we allow ourselves get submerged in a whole lot of activities and then we loose sight of what truly matters.

We have been called to purpose and it is very important that in all we do, we never loose sight of that purpose. We must daily live in the consciousness of that purpose.

In this day and age where may things are competeing for our attention, we must be vigilant becasue if care is not taken, it is quite easy to loose sight of what really matters.

So I ask again, are you really busy or you are just not prioritising the truly important thing?

Are you a vessel of honor, set apart for God's noble purposes, or one of dishonor? Are you a willing and yielding vessel, ready for the Father's use? Are you stewarding the gifts and talents He's entrusted to you, bringing glory to His name? Does your life bring joy to God's heart, or does it cause Him sorrow? Take time to reflect on these questions and make the necessary adjustments to align your life with His will.
