We’re looking for a casual Front of House team member to join us from the 1st of July 2026.

We’d love to hear from someone confident, friendly, and welcoming who can help continue creating a smooth, warm, and positive experience for our customers. Being a strong team player and taking pride in great service is really important to us.

Hours required: Tuesday–Saturday, 7:30am–2:30pm. Preference will be given to Norfolk Island residents.

It’s the season to give matcha another chance… 🍵🍓

Meet our Strawberry Matcha, just in time for Valentine’s Day. 💌

If matcha has ever tasted like grass or lawn clippings, let the strawberry soften it: lifting, rounding, and balancing the flavour, making it surprisingly smooth and easy to love. 🍦

For an extra sweet experience when dining in, it’s served in a jam jar. 🍯
Yes, a jam jar, and yes, finishing it in public is completely allowed. Sit back, sip slowly, and let everyone around you silently try to figure out what’s happening.

We use ceremonial-grade matcha from Japan, the highest-quality type made from the youngest, tender leaves. 🌱
It’s also organic, because matcha is consumed whole, so any chemicals in the leaves would end up in your cup, which isn’t something we want.

Let us help you fall in love… at least with matcha, we’re just a café. ✌️

But relax, it’s not romantic, just a café affair. 💌
Valentine week has painted the walls pink and bright,
With hearts, little touches, and cosy delights. 🎀

Couples on the day get a tiny sweet gift,
But all week long, come in and let spirits lift. 🍯
And to make it even sweeter, we’ve brewed a love potion:
Ruby hot chocolate, naturally pink and fruity, a sip full of emotion. 💗

This week is special: our first birthday in view,
Twelve months of laughter, coffee, and you. 🫶
So grab a friend, a partner, or yourself dear,

This time last year, LaPérouse was finally taking shape, no longer just an idea on paper, but something that felt possible. 💭

Right place, right time… and, luckily, a visit to last year’s Christmas pageant. Sometimes that’s all it takes. 🎅🏻

2025 turned that moment into something real.

We’re deeply grateful to have been given the opportunity to bring this idea to life, and even more grateful for the people who entered into it with us.

Yesterday, we braved the humid island afternoon to hang decorations, and the space now feels alive with holiday sparkle. ✨

We skipped the usual GF blends and kept things simple: just honest ingredients and the naturally bold, nutty flavour of buckwheat. 🥜

Spring, but make it moody. 🍁

The island’s sitting under a thick, silvery haze that feels more October than October ever did — so thick, in fact, that the plane couldn’t land this afternoon. 😶‍🌫️✈️

This kind of weather was made for Belgian hot chocolate — rich, creamy, and unapologetically indulgent. ☕️

We’ll take the mist, the chill, and a cup that feels like comfort dressed up for spooky season. 🎃

Coffee and a croissant, the perfect breakfast on the move. 💛

The weather’s warming up, the skies are clearing, and everything just feels a bit lighter — including breakfast. ☀️

But let’s talk about that eternal question: to dunk or not to dunk? 💭

We get it. It’s tempting.

The steam rises, the flaky layers whisper “just one dip.”

But every time we see a buttery masterpiece get soggy and collapse into a sad pastry puddle, a baker somewhere sheds a tear. 🥲

We’ll never judge (well… maybe a little).

Crunchy baguette + juicy Norfolk beef + crisp local salad = happiness. 💛

We bake the bread ourselves (because life’s too short for frozen dough). 🥖

We use local grass-fed beef. 🥩

We keep it fresh and honest, with a side salad grown right here. 🥬

Every bite is a mix of crunch, chew, and juiciness. It’s the kind of combo that feels indulgent but also grounded. 🤤

Proof that happiness can, in fact, fit between two halves of a baguette. 👏
