At Norfolk Blue Restaurant, Grill & Bar we specialise in “Norfolk Blue” beef, a unique breed of cattle produced on our 100 Acre Farm from paddock to plate at less than 1km food miles. Locals and visitors alike often claim we are the “best restaurant on the Island”. In 2010 we won Gold at the Norfolk Island Tourism Awards for the best new business on the Island. 2011 saw another Norfolk Island Tourism Gold award for Norfolk Blue, this time for “Best Formal Dining”.

From mid-February 2016 exciting things are happening….

The Blue Bull Café will be offering an expanded menu as well as a range of aged prime cuts during dinner service, lovingly prepared by Chefs Dylan and James and ably supported by Kurt.

For the next few months Norfolk Blue Restaurant will focus on groups and functions and will continue to offer our high quality cuisine as the Island’s No 1 restaurant with our team of Chefs Kurt, Dylan and James.

As such, from Monday 15th February 2016, the restaurant will close to the general public but will continue full operations for our groups and functions.

Those from the general public wishing to book for lunch and dinner, will be offered bookings at The Blue Bull with its revamped menu.

We also have a range of other new and exciting ideas that we intend to offer both visitors and locals as we settle into our new arrangements.

We thank Chef Paul & Tia for their great work while with us and wish them all the best for new adventure.

With the introduction of higher monitoring of drink driving on the island over the festive season and for your own personal safety and enjoyment, we offer a door to door shuttle service at Norfolk Blue. For just $20 round-trip (per car, not per person), we can come and collect you from your home or accommodation, allowing you to enjoy a chauffeured trip to make your evening extra special and throw caution to wind and drink your fill without worrying about navigating our (hopefully) endearingly awful roads.

Bookings need to be made in advance - maximum of 7 people per car. Phone on 22068, The Blue Bull, or Norfolk Island Tourism to make your lunch/dinner/shuttle reservations.

What a week we've just had. Finally settling back into the norm after all the functions and special events for the 2015 Food Festival. Absolutely amazing seeing what a crowd we got and it's wonderful hearing all the good feedback from our many many visitors who enjoyed some or all of the events of the festival. Hats off to Rose Evans & Trina Shepherd for making it all happen for another year. Thank you Trina also for this pic of our very own Chef Paul's, from Norfolk Blue Restaurant Grill & Bar, creation for the Four Chefs Dinner. He did an awesome job on the slow braised mini beef pie. It's all in the detail, couldn't be happier with what he produced and so happy we have this photo to share with everyone!

It's over! The 2015 Norfolk Island Food Festival has officially finished.

Thank you to everyone who made it such a success - our committee, sponsors, organisers, helpers, chefs, cooks, local businesses, and anyone else who assisted, helped, encouraged and contributed. We couldn't have done it without you!

Norfolk Blue Farm Tours are now available to run 7 days a week! Start the morning with our boutique, small group farm tour (minimum of 2 people to run, maximum of 4). Be guided by one of our knowledgeable, friendly staff on a tour of the Homestead, meet Mr Bull, and go out in the 4WD to have a close look at the workings of 100 acre organic farm and get up close and personal with our Norfolk Blue heard. Tours begin between 8:30 and 9am, and we need one day advance booking. $60 per person, it's a fantastic, active way to spend the morning and finish off being treated to a 2 course morning tea of Norfolk Blue beef at the original 100 acre farm Homestead.

Bookings can be made direct to Norfolk Blue, at the Blue Bull Cafe, Norfolk Island Tourism, or enquire with your accommodation

Here's a review we just had had come in. I would like to say a big thank you to my team for a great effort all round and I'm very proud of you all. It's Thanks for me, Rob.

"What a wonderful evening to remember. My husband and sister in law celebrated their 60th birthday's on the 8th August at this fantastic restaurant. The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble for them. The food and service was outstanding, along with the country atmosphere and cosy fireplace. We would highly recommend "The Blue Bull" to any visitors or locals on Norfolk.
While you are in downtown Burnt Pine make sure you visit "The Blue Bull" cafe, definitely the best coffee and homemade food on the island. Flower and Dylan looked after us, as if we were family. The pet steer "Blue Boy" out the back loves a feed of his favourite pellets and a brush. Thank you Norfolk Blue for your hospitality."
