Some journeys begin quietly — but grow into something meaningful.
Today we celebrate Airiel, who has completed his SCA Sensory Skills – Foundation.

He stepped into class without any advanced knowledge, just one thing: an honest experience of tasting great coffee. From there, he learned to appreciate flavour, understand value, and recognise what makes coffee truly special.

Growth like his reminds us that passion doesn’t need a loud beginning — it just needs a willing heart.

A landmark moment for Emery School of Coffee.
From 3rd to 8th August, we hosted our first-ever SCA Q Grader program, led by Cadence — a significant milestone that reflects our commitment to advancing coffee education and sensory excellence at the highest level.

Our inaugural cohort — Ikmal Hanafi, Ahmad Haziq, Nabil Ghazali, Joshua Teo, Ammar Khan, and Kwon Da Yong (Korea) — stepped into one of the most demanding and respected sensory certifications in the global coffee industry.
Across every cupping table, every calibration, and every sensory challenge, they demonstrated discipline, precision, and a deep respect for the craft.

This first cohort represents more than achievement.
It represents growth, professionalism, and a new chapter for Emery — one where international collaboration, elevated standards, and a shared pursuit of excellence come together under one roof.
