The last bowl of our Rose Bingsu was served last weekend.

After a good run of almost six years, Rose Bingsu has officially left our menu.

To our customers, this is Rose Bingsu.

But to me, and to those of us from the north, Xiao Hong / Guleng Peng (Little Reddy) is not something unfamiliar. It reminds us of the familiar sirap bandung we grew up with — something you’ll find in many food courts and kopitiams, carrying a taste that brings back a little nostalgia.

Perhaps that is why this bingsu has always felt a little different to me. It was not just another flavour on the menu. It was a familiar taste, presented in a different way, and somehow it found its own little following over the years.

Almost six years is a long time for any menu item. We’ have changed, our menu has changed, and it’s time to make room for something new.

Thank you to everyone who ordered, enjoyed and supported our Rose Bingsu throughout these almost six years.

When we look at this photo from our Google review, we don't just see bowls of bingsu.

A bowl of bingsu may disappear in an hour, but the memories created around it can last a lifetime.

When you asked if our Cempedak Bingsu is delicious, I actually paused for a second.

If I say "yes," you might think, "Of course you would say that." If I say "no," you would probably wonder why it's even on the menu!

So instead of telling you it's delicious, I would rather say it depends on whether it suits your taste. Everyone's preference is different.

What I can confidently say is that every dessert on our menu has gone through countless rounds of tasting and fine tuning to suit most people's palate, not everyone, because that's impossible.

And let's be honest... no owner is going to tell you their own food is bad. We would rather let you decide for yourself.

That said, one of our Cempedak Bingsu lovers has already ordered it once via delivery and then came back to dine in twice, all within less than two weeks. We take that as the biggest compliment we could ask for.

Being the first in Malaysia or even the world isn't our goal.

Our focus is simple, creating something that genuinely brings value to our customers and leaves them satisfied.

How do we measure that ?

Not by awards, nor by the number of likes or online reviews.

Many customers may never write a Google review or post about us on social media. Instead, they come back again and again, and more importantly, they bring along their family and friends.

One of the most rewarding moments is hearing a customer say,

"This is really good. You should try it."

To us, that simple recommendation carries more weight than any advertisement. It means we've earned their trust, and that's what we strive for every single day.

Some desserts are easy to create. This wasn't one of them.

Finding the perfect balance between creamy milk and fragrant Thai tea took us more time and effort than any other ice on our menu.

Our goal was simple, the first taste is smooth, creamy milk, followed by a bold Thai tea aroma that lingers. That's the balance we were chasing.

Of course, everyone has their own idea of the perfect Thai tea. This is ours and we hope you'll love it as much as we do.
