What an amazing four days at Malaysia Coffee Week ✨

We sought to bring our roastery retail experience to you, with our full lineup of beans to sample and experience, and it was great to see you sip, taste, and explore your way through the table ☕️ We hope you enjoyed discovering the different coffees, and maybe even found a new favourite along the way.

Our two representative teams had a lot of fun competing at the Malaysia Barista Team Championship too!

Special thanks to the organizers MSCA — it’s a pleasure to see MCW and the local coffee community grow from year to year 🙌🏽

This coming Wednesday, we’re excited to welcome ignis from Tokyo, Japan to our bar 🙌🏽 Angelyn from Ignis will be here brewing a delightful selection of filter coffees, with beans available for retail too.

“Hi KL! I’m a Malaysian working as a barista at Ignis, a specialty coffee shop in Tokyo.

Ignis was founded from a burning passion for coffee and a drive to push the boundaries of what specialty coffee can be. We are dedicated to serving exceptional coffees and pushing the boundaries of coffee through innovative drinks and unique experiences. From rare experimental lots to world-class varieties to original signature drinks, every cup is crafted to spark curiosity, inspire a deeper passion for coffee, and create meaningful connections with people wherever we go.

New to our Everyday Geisha series — Colombia Inmaculada Geisha Washed 🧡

Surrounded by the Farallones National Park and nestled in the Andes at 1,700–2,000 metres above sea level, Inmaculada is part of the Holguin Ramos family’s long-standing agricultural tradition, spanning more than 90 years. Their deep connection to the land is reflected in the coffees they produce — carefully cultivated with a focus on quality and expression.

This washed Geisha is elegant and refined, with hints of blood orange and honey leading into delicate notes of jasmine and white tea. Lovely on both espresso and filter.

At our Workshop Room, we’ve got public cuppings by eightypluscoffee.my, ft. a variety of offerings from Brazil and Ethiopia to Colombian competition lots, and our own, ft. a selection of our signature house blends, single origins and latest releases.

And don’t miss Same Bean, Different Brew — an interactive coffee workshop by Barista Guild Asia HQ, inviting you to taste, compare and discover how different brewing methods can change the aroma, flavour and overall experience of the same coffee.

A must-try is Kopi Harian, a Melaka-based cafe inspired by the flavours we grew up with. They’ll be bringing their signature mochi toasts, with flavours ranging from classic kaya butter to modern takes like chocolate pistachio kunafa 🍞

Also crossing state borders is Koka Pizza from Nilai 🍕 they’ll be firing up delicious Neapolitan pizzas all weekend long.
