We never thought weโ€™d have to share something like this.

Today, someone had a meal at RUANG, told our staff he was stepping outside to make a call and never came back to settle the bill.

If someone is genuinely hungry and unable to afford a meal, talk to us. If we can help, we will. But from what was ordered and how things unfolded, this clearly wasnโ€™t about hunger.

Unfortunately, this isnโ€™t the first time something like this has happened.

Weโ€™ve chosen to let previous incidents go quietly, but when it happens again, we feel we have no choice but to speak up.

Itโ€™s not about the amount. Itโ€™s about honesty and respect for the people behind a small business.

We could easily identify you, but weโ€™re choosing not to put your face out there. We simply hope youโ€™ll do the right thing.

And we hope this post serves as a reminder:

Please donโ€™t mistake kindness for an opportunity to take advantage of it.

Small businesses work hard for every customer, every table and every sale.

A little honesty and respect really does matter. ๐ŸคŽ
