Established on Nov 2013, started from a BBQ stall in a workshop site, It was a random idea of selling pork burgers by the big bro who later drag all the 4 younger brothers to help out at the small burger stall by the roadside. Without a proper stall's name at that moment, we come and go every night just to fill up the free time, for the sake of fun and we never expected that our homemade pork burg
ers will received very good response from public. When searching for suitable name for our stall, a friend once suggested our name to be called "3 Fat Bros" because it"s only 3 of us, out of 5 fat siblings who tag team together, sweating all night long, selling pork burgers from 5pm - 11pm, before the other 2 join a bit later time. :)
Known as "Workshop's Grill Pork burgers" in the early days of the operation. We chose the name just simply because we are doing it in the workshop! We believe it's not an easy job, but thanks to GOD everything possible because we have lot of good friends & families & of course YOU who help out a lot for the promotion especially through social media. In just 3 months, we managed to sell average of 100 pork burgers daily compare to our 1st day sales which is only 7 pork burgers :( But however, things does not go smooth all the time. Our obstacle came as early when we just started to explore more in the industry, something came up and it was indeed a hard one for us. After a meeting with the family members, we decided to moved out from the workshop site to solve our problem. Operations stopped for 3 days but we just started to fall in love with the business. For the love and passion of pork burgers, we finally found Taman Awam. The new place seems to be much better and promising new places seems so much better and promising compare to old site, in term of facilities, spaces and location . Eventhough we are no longer operating in a workshop site, we still keep the name 'workshop's grill pork burgers' because it reminds us of where we come from. Moving to Taman Awam is definitely worth the risk because the volume of our sales has doubled. We received more and more love and support from the customers, and this motivate us to do better. We refined our menu, we upgraded our stall, we tried new things, and did tried to improve in any aspect from time to time. We tried to get as much feedbacks as possible. We hear and we take great concern of our customer's recommendation. This is a never-ending process to make sure that we are on track all the time. We appreciate each and every customers who are willingly to wait patiently for our pork burger which may take up to an hour ( or even more) sometimes.Tq for understanding on the shortage of manpower over the high demand during those times. And we believe that everyone understands it took abit more time because we do it "the workshop grill" style, which is charcoal grilled. Thanks to the awesome continuous support, day by day, week by week, month by month from all the regular customers for the past 11 months before we finally set up twg! We were indeed very excited and happy when we finally managed to find a new place in our preferred area. But this time we are not looking for a stall, we want to take up the new challenge and operate a shop by creating our own brand. We never expected that we could expand this fast. Thank you again for the awesome support from our valued customers By setting up another outlet in the heart of our beloved Miri City, We do hope we can cater to more customers from different areas in our hometown. Customers staying far at the other side of Senadin & Permyjaya etc. dont need to drive all the way up to Taman Awam anymore. First thing to be done when twg is in mind, is to change the name 'workshop.... ' At the same time, we created another facebook account for new TWG to prevent misleading of promotion from the 2 different outlet. As we are standing on our own in town outlet whereby we only sell foods without drinks in Taman Awam's Stall. The set up of new "The Workshop Grill" took 26 days from zero to what we are now. Limited financial is not a major problem to stop our ambitions, this is the time where all our good friends and families appeared to help. There was not much 3rd party contractor involved in the set up as most of the things that we can see in TWG now are all DIY project by bunch of good people! To have a vintage concept burger bar & restaurant was a dream come true for us. The concept and design of our pork and beer bar came from the name itself - "The Workshop Grill". We guess you never know how excited and happy we are which brought us to the ideas of props and accessories for the bar from time to time, no floor plan, no drawing, no schedule and we just do it, :p
Moving to a new place, with more manpower, we promise we will give you the best same taste as your 1st impression, no matter how far we go, how big we expand, it will still be homemade produce, with all the love, commitment and our whole heart into every and each of our Pork burger patties. We would like to thank and appreciate all the compliments from the customers who loved our set up. Thank You to our loyal follower & customers who labeled us as "the first of its kind" in miri! There is not much concept bar back then as on 2nd November 2014 when we launch the soft opening. Lucky us to have easy theme set up of our own version of "Workshop". We might can't operate as early as this without the help of Friends & families! Thank God for surrounding us with so many kind hearted and honest F&F! MGB all of you :)
Last but not least, we would like to thank everyone again for being with us all this while. Thank you for showing us the love and support. Thank you for loving our pork burgers. Thank you for your tremendous support. Thank You Mirian! Thank You Sarawakian! Thank You Malaysian! Thank You Everyone! Thank You! With Love,
