FruiChill represents a meaningful combination of sustainability and health, aligning closely with both SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production and SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being. By integrating these two goals, FruiChill demonstrates how small business initiatives can contribute to larger global objectives.
With the help of its sustainability activities, FruiChill tries to encourage students to avoid plastic products, which in turn leads to the reduction of waste. In addition, it helps develop the feeling of responsibility in an individual person. Moreover, it highlights the significance of producing and using eco-friendly food, as natural products should become preferable.
As for health concerns, FruiChill offers delicious and healthy food such as fruit cups or home-made popsicles to improve the nutritional habits of students. Healthy alternatives contribute to the replacement of harmful snacks that students usually prefer. In other words, healthy eating becomes more accessible with the help of this project.
The most interesting thing about FruiChill is the connection between sustainable and healthy initiatives, which usually cannot be combined into one. Choosing natural eco-friendly products is a step towards the improvement of personal health and the ecological situation in the world.
In my opinion, FruiChill is a very promising initiative as it allows people to combine these two aspects into one. It helps raise awareness regarding the necessity to act responsibly as well as leads to the improvement of lifestyle.
