This eco-friendly resort is situated on a 400-metre stretch of soft golden sand along Pantai Tengah, which is next to Pantai Cenang. The bustling Pantai Cenang is 550 metres away from the resort. We are located 10 kms from the Langkawi International Airport and walking distance to restaurants, cafes, bars and shops on Pantai Tengah and Pantai Cenang. The suites are right in front of the beach and are 60sqm large while the chalets are also spacious at 45sqm and have semi-outdoor showers and patios with a beach or garden view. It has also won 11 environmental awards to date, including the ASEAN Green hotel award 2012, PATA Gold award for best Educational program, and the ASEANTA Best Conservation effort 2010. Reflecting on an Inspiring Evening of Sustainability

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of being part of the MareCet Pulau Langkawi Marine Explorer Expedition (25–27 April 2026), welcoming 15 media representatives from various organisations to experience the natural beauty of Langkawi.

At The Frangipani Langkawi Resort & Spa, guests joined a meaningful EcoWalk session led by renowned environmentalist Prof. Anthony Wong. The session offered an immersive look into our eco-initiatives — from sustainable waste management and organic farming to our ongoing conservation efforts.

As one of the few moments the group spent within the resort, the EcoWalk provided valuable insights into how sustainability and hospitality can go hand in hand.

We are proud to collaborate with MareCet in promoting marine conservation and responsible tourism, and we look forward to more impactful partnerships ahead.

We are honoured to host Rotary District 3300 for their Intercity Meeting on 28 March 2026 at The Frangipani Langkawi Resort & Spa.

The day began with a meaningful Eco Walk led by Prof. Anthony Wong, sharing insights on sustainability and nature — a true reflection of our commitment to responsible hospitality.

In the afternoon, guests gathered at the Desa Ballroom for the Intercity Meeting and Award Ceremony, celebrating achievements and strengthening connections.

A gentle daily experience designed especially for families and nature lovers. Bunnies by the Beach invites guests to spend a relaxing moment by the shore, interacting with our friendly bunnies in a calm, open-air setting.

Children can enjoy supervised playtime while learning about kindness, care, and respect for animals, while parents unwind with the soothing sea breeze and beachfront views. It’s a simple, joyful activity that encourages slow travel, connection with nature, and meaningful family moments.

Safety has always been our priority at Frangipani Langkawi.
Following tragic box jellyfish incidents along nearby beaches over the years, we took the initiative to install an anti-jellyfish net to help protect swimmers — not only our guests, but everyone who enters the water at Pantai Tengah.

This net has been in place during the quieter season (December to May) for the past 8 years, covering approximately 280 meters in total length. While no system can guarantee 100% safety, this measure significantly reduces risk and reflects our commitment to responsible hospitality.

We believe that running a beachfront resort comes with a responsibility to people, even when the sea does not belong to us. Our hope is that more beachfront resorts will take similar steps — because safety should always come first.
