❤️Building a Bridge of Love in a World That Can Slow Down❤️
Every child is an angel sent to this world, but some angels simply take a little longer to find their stride.
While we rush through our busy lives, the Kuching Methodist Care Centre (KMCC) quietly stands as a beacon of warmth and hope for these children and their families.
Established in January 2013 by the Sarawak Chinese Annual Conference of the Methodist Church in Malaysia, KMCC began in a single semi-detached house on Airport Road. Expanding to a second unit in 2016, and opening its second centre in Tabuan Desa in June 2025, the journey reflects a steadfast commitment to supporting neurodivergent children and their families. Today, the centre is home to around 70 wonderful children, with each child and their family lovingly embraced as part of the KMCC family.
KMCC is more than just a centre; it is a sanctuary built on love, collaboration, and inclusive practice.
Through its Early Intervention Programme (EIP) tailored for children aged 0–6 with developmental delays, the centre offers:
* **1-to-1 Programmes:** Empowering parents and caregivers to walk side by side with their children.
* **Preparation Class Programmes (P*P):** Equipping 5–6 year-old children and parents with essential school-readiness skills for primary education.
By blending educational and therapeutic approaches, KMCC nurtures children in motor skills, communication, social-emotional development, self-help, and attention-building, helping every child reach their full potential. From well-equipped Resource Rooms and Sensory Integration (SI) Rooms to outdoor playgrounds and sandpits, every corner is designed to help children learn through play and discovery.
As a non-profit organisation, KMCC relies on the generosity of parents, churches, and the public to sustain its operations and continue its mission.
This Mid-Autumn Festival, as we share the warmth and sweetness of freshly baked traditional pastries, let's also share our hearts. **For every box of Mid-Autumn mooncakes sold, we will donate 10% of the proceeds to KMCC.
No stockpiling, insisting on freshly baked
because they may walk a little slower, but with our love, they will never walk alone.
