这次活动不仅让大家进一步了解Acoustic Guitar考级，更有机会与教授 Buhrmann Steenkamp 交流，深入认识全新的 Rockschool Acoustic Guitar 考级系统，包括：

Thiamguitar 我们两夫妻创业故事（十）｜连载中…

2018年9月1日，我们夫妻俩一起参加了 Malaysia 1st Ukulele Festival。
那时候，Thiamguitar 才刚刚开业一年，学生还不多，所以当时的我们，还没有机会参加舞台表演。
我们选择换一个方式参与。
我们来到 Shaka Ukulele 的小摊位帮忙，协助到场的乌克丽丽朋友调音、换弦，同时也帮忙销售乌克丽丽。
当天，我看到一些知名的音乐学院，例如 Music To U、Idea Music，带领一大群小朋友一起站上舞台，弹奏乌克丽丽。

看着台上一群小朋友自信地演奏，那一刻的我，其实留下了很深的印象。
这次活动，成为我未来走向儿童乌克丽丽教学的一次启蒙，也让我开始思考：也许儿童音乐教育，会是我们可以努力发展的方向...

而这一天，就是Thiamguitar儿童乌克丽丽教学方向的一个小小起点。

On 1 September 2018, my wife Kary Eu and I attended the 1st Ukulele Festival in Malaysia.

At that time, Thiamguitar had only been open for about a year. We still had very few students, so we were not yet able to participate in the stage performances.
But that was okay. We found another way to be part of the event.
We joined a small booth under the Shaka Ukulele brand, where we helped visiting ukulele players with tuning, string changes, and ukulele sales.

I saw well-known music schools such as Music To U and Idea Music bringing large groups of children onto the stage to perform together with their ukuleles.
At that time, we did not realize that this moment would eventually influence the future direction of Thiamguitar.
And this day became a small but meaningful starting point for Thiamguitar’s journey into children’s ukulele education.

Aug 2018 - 把「Fun & Happy！」带进手作圈
在之前的工作坊获得不错的反应后，我们决定继续复制这个 Fun & Happy！的简单理念，把乌克丽丽带进更多不同的空间。

这一次，我的太太又帮我找到另一家手作坊——Midori Studio • みどりスタジオ。
于是，在 04 Aug 2018，我们在那里举办了一场乌克丽丽工作坊。
这次同样获得了不错的反应，也让我们更加确定：简单、轻松、好玩，其实可以让完全没有音乐基础的人，也愿意尝试乌克丽丽。

在2018至2019年期间，我们持续运用这个模式，在不同的手作空间举办工作坊。
也正是通过一次又一次的尝试与累积，我们开始慢慢在手作圈子里建立起 Thiamguitar 的品牌与口碑。

Bringing “Fun & Happy!” into the Craft Community
After receiving a positive response from our previous workshops, we decided to continue with the same simple “Fun & Happy!” concept and bring ukulele workshops into more creative spaces.

This time, my wife helped me discover another craft studio — Midori Studio • みどりスタジオ.
On 04 Aug 2018, we held a ukulele workshop there.
Once again, the response was very encouraging. It gave us even more confidence that keeping things simple, relaxed, and fun could encourage even complete beginners with no musical background to give the ukulele a try.

Throughout 2018 and 2019, we continued using this approach to organize workshops in different craft spaces.
Through these repeated experiments and experiences, we gradually began to build Thiamguitar’s brand presence and reputation within the craft community.

23 June 2018,我的太太一直很喜欢艺术与手作创作，也因为这个兴趣，慢慢认识了一群不同领域的手作达人。
她开始有了一个新的想法：为什么我们的乌克丽丽教学不能尝试跨界创新？
于是，她主动帮我联系了当时刚刚开业的 izipizi，并找到负责人 Cindy，向她介绍我们的想法，希望可以在那里尝试举办一个轻松、有趣的 Ukulele Workshop。

当时候我们的理念很简单——Fun & Happy！
不一定要有音乐基础，也不需要给自己太大的压力，而是通过简单、容易学习的方式，让更多人可以轻松接触乌克丽丽，享受音乐带来的快乐。
没想到，这个新的尝试吸引了另一群不同的朋友参与。

从第一次尝试开始，我们陆续在izipizi举办了好几场乌克丽丽工作坊，并持续了一年的时间（2018–2019）。

23 June 2018, My wife has always loved art, crafts, and creative projects. Through her passion, she gradually got to know a group of talented craft creators from different fields.
She then had a new idea:

Why not take our ukulele teaching beyond the traditional classroom and try something different?

She took the initiative to contact izipizi, which had just opened at the time, and reached out to its person in charge, Cindy. She introduced our idea and asked if we could try hosting a fun and relaxed Ukulele Workshop there.

Our concept was simple:Fun & Happy!

Participants did not need any musical background or experience. We wanted to create a simple and easy-to-learn approach that would allow more people to pick up a ukulele, enjoy music, and have fun along the way.
To our surprise, this new approach attracted a completely different group of friends to join us.

After the first workshop, we went on to organize several more ukulele workshops at izipizi, continuing for about a year from 2018 to 2019.

15 Nov 2018｜我非常感谢我的太太 Kary Ey。在我创业的背后，积极为我争取机会联络大学。

从 2018年至2019年，为期一年，拉曼大学学院（现称 TAR UMT）我在那里开设了：🎸 吉他流行歌曲班🎶 乌克丽丽流行歌曲班

对于当时刚踏入音乐教育行业的我来说，这不仅仅是一份教学工作，更是一个非常宝贵的学习与成长机会。

15 Nov 2018 | I am Teacher Thiam，I am truly grateful to my wife, Kary Ey. Behind my entrepreneurial journey, she has always been there to quietly support and help me, while also actively helping me seek out opportunities.

From 2018 to 2019, for one year, 拉曼大学学院（TAR UMT）I conducted: 🎸 Pop Song Guitar Classes 🎶 Pop Song Ukulele Classes

For me, as someone who had just entered the music education industry at the time, this was not just a teaching job, but also a very valuable opportunity to learn and grow.

于 2026年8月1日在巴生菩提禅修才艺比赛中，凭着对音乐的热爱与努力，在 A组（5–13岁）Bass Guitar Solo 项目中脱颖而出...

On 1 August 2026, during the “Guanyin Bodhisattva Blesses You” Carnival held at Longquan Chan Hall, Klang, Chloe participated in the Talent Competition and achieved outstanding results in the A Group (Ages 5–13) – Bass Guitar Solo category.

She proudly received two awards:
🏆 Best Stage Presence Award 最佳台风奖
🏆 Elite Award 精英奖 Randy Chang

从 Ukulele 出发，当学员达到一定程度后，将进一步接触不同乐器，学习如何与伙伴合作、配合节奏，真正从「学习乐器」走向「一起玩音乐」🎶
Beyond our focus on Ukulele, students who have reached a certain level will have the opportunity to explore other instruments and experience the joy of playing music together as a band.
