小镇姑娘从KD搬来到KU，
其实也是抱着这样的期待。
慢慢扎根，慢慢开花。☺️

【蝴蝶】这种东西，很奇妙。
它会让人突然觉得——
生活是真的，幸福也是真的。

现在的人，天天看手机、看车、看时间。
却很少抬头看看花，
也越来越少在家门前，看见蝴蝶停下来采花粉了。

有时候觉得，
如果一个地方还能吸引蝴蝶，
大概也还留着一点温柔的人间气息。🌿

我们这里除了食物香喷喷，
门前的小花，也很努力地在营业。😆🌼

This Monday morning, when we arrived at the shop,
we saw this beautiful little scene in front of our door. 🦋🌼

From KD to KU,
Small Town Girl came here carrying the same hope —
to slowly grow, slowly bloom, and slowly build a place filled with warmth. ☺️

There’s something about butterflies.
They make life feel real.
Soft. Peaceful. Alive.

These days, people spend more time looking at phones, cars, and clocks.
But how long has it been since you last saw butterflies gathering around flowers near your home?

Sometimes it feels like
if butterflies are still willing to visit a place,
that place probably still carries a little gentleness of this world. 🌿

Besides serving food full of aroma,

在路边开始卖起，曾经有客人看了这素鸡腿说，他不要鸡腿，要鸡2度。。😆😆

1. 解冻后腌制自调酱料
2. 第二天早上蒸熟5分钟 (待冷）

5. 热油煎鸡腿（最考功夫的一环，一定会被热油喷手）

不好意思哦，这两天一开店就一直有客人堂食和打包，忙到来不及上来请安。☺️☺️

【我们这星期，算是有95％顺利在1030am营业了。】

我们的下一个目标，是周末可以挑战 9am 营业。😙

这半年来， Ah Grace 一直努力在厨房培训新人，也慢慢把简单的 SOP 做出来。

希望不管大家是晴天来、雨天来，食物的味道都能尽量保持稳定，不会差太远。

但毕竟，我们的食物不是工厂预制品。
很多东西，还是靠现场熬、现场煮、现场调味。
所以老实说，味道真的很难做到100％一模一样。
如果哪一碗食物味道不对，一定要通知我们的服务员帮您更换。

有时候忙起来，大家转来转去，真的偶尔会忘了一些调味和材料，不是故意的。🙏

我们会继续努力。☺️ 也谢谢你们一直愿意包容一家还在成长中的小店。

Sorry ah… the past two days, the moment we opened, customers already started coming in for dine-in and takeaway. We got so busy that we didn’t even have time to come here and say hello. ☺️☺️
【This week, we managed to open at 10:30am smoothly about 95% of the time.】

Our next goal… is to challenge ourselves to open at 9am on weekends. 😙

For the past 6 months, Ah Grace has been working very hard training new kitchen staff, while slowly building simple SOPs step by step.
We hope that whether you visit on a sunny day or a rainy day, the food can stay as consistent as possible and not vary too much.

But honestly, our food is not factory pre-made food.
Many things are still cooked fresh on the spot — slowly simmered, freshly prepared, and seasoned by hand.
So truly speaking, it’s very difficult to make every bowl 100% identical.
If the taste of any dish feels off, please let our service crew know so we can replace it for you.
Sometimes when things get too busy, everyone is running around, and occasionally some seasoning or ingredients may get missed unintentionally. 🙏

We will continue improving. ☺️ And thank you for always being patient with a small restaurant that is still growing.

很好吃的纯素肉排。

一直以来，
我们都尽量选择比较优质的食材。

只是——
这些来自国外的大品牌，
如果在马来西亚的销量达不到标准，
就会慢慢退出，甚至停止生产。

Plant-based 的路，本来就不容易走。
成本高，选择的人还不够多。
有些味道，
不是不好，

只是本地吃素的人对比较高性价的植物性食物比较慢热。

如果你刚好喜欢，
记得多来吃几次。

也许有一天，它就只剩下回忆了。

前几天，有几位很有气质的女生走进来，一开口就要点——咖喱叻沙。
还真不巧，那天卖完了。

其中一位有点失望地说： “我们是特地来吃你们的咖喱的，朋友介绍很好吃。”
那一刻，阿Grace的表情，大概是三分疑惑，七分惊讶。😳😳

老实说，一直以来，我们都以为—— 大家是为了拉面而来。
咖喱，还是第一次有人“特地来吃”。
有点意外。

只是啊，这锅咖喱，非常＜亏＞

里面超过20种材料，咖喱酱从准备到完成，要两天。
单单站在 wok 前炒香，就要一个多小时。再煮一锅咖喱汤，又是一个小时。

说真的，我们也曾认真想过—— 要不要，把它从菜单拿下来。

因为时间、人力、成本，怎么算，都不太合理。

而偏偏，咖喱又是大家熟悉的味道，算是国民美食之一吧，价格，不能走太高。

有时候，一碗留下来，不是因为它“赚”，而是因为，有人真的会为了它而来。

A few days ago, a group of stylish, graceful ladies walked into our little shop.
First thing they said—they wanted curry laksa.
Well, it was sold out that day.
One of them said, slightly disappointed: “We actually came all the way for your curry. Our friend said it’s really good.”
That moment— Ah Grace’s expression was probably 30% confused, 70% surprised. 😳😳
To be honest, we always thought people came for our ramen.
Curry? This is the first time someone said they came specifically for it.
Didn’t expect that.
But truth is, this pot of curry… is honestly a losing deal.
More than 20 ingredients. The curry paste alone takes 2 days to prepare. Standing in front of the wok, slowly frying it till fragrant— more than an hour gone. Then cooking the curry broth— another hour.
We’ve seriously considered— should we just take it off the menu?
Because when it comes to time, manpower, cost— it just doesn’t make sense.
And yet, curry is something everyone knows, almost a national comfort food. You can’t price it too high.
Sometimes, a dish stays— not because it’s profitable, but because someone, somewhere, will come just for it.
So tell us— should we keep it? 😌

今天是一个阳光普照美好的星期六。

营业是1030am to 8pm。

今天的饭很好吃。
用了三种不同品牌米的黄金比例，刚刚好。

你们知道为什么，
有时我们
跟着师父或者食谱学烹饪，还是煮不到那个味道吗？

因为——
不同牌子的材，米、油、盐、酱、醋、茶，
包括所有食材，
都有不同的性质和优缺点。
还有一个关键，就是要懂得【参】，
mix and match。

比如红豆汤，甚至咖啡，
加一点粉红海盐，
就可以把层次感提出来。

那种味道在嘴里“转一圈”的感觉，
就是口感（mouthfeel）

我们的饭：
1. 米先泡水，沥干
2. 蒸10分钟
3. 煮滚饭汁（所有叶子和斑斓汁一起煮滚马上关火）
4. 把3倒入已蒸的米饭，让米饭把饭汁吸干为止
5. 放入已经滚着的水大火蒸10分钟。
6.时间到，关火，迅速开盖5秒出气，再盖回去焖10分钟

很复杂是吗？

Do you know why sometimes,
even when we follow a master or a recipe,
we still can’t achieve that exact taste?
Because—
different brands of ingredients — rice, oil, salt, sauces, vinegar, tea —
and in fact, all ingredients,
have their own properties, strengths, and weaknesses.
And one more key: understanding how to “blend”,
to mix and match.
For example, red bean soup, or even coffee,
add a pinch of pink salt,
and it can lift the layers of flavor.
That feeling when the taste “rolls” in your mouth—
that’s what we call mouthfeel.

Our rice:
Soak, then drain
Steam for 10 minutes
Bring the rice broth to a boil (all the leaves and pandan juice boiled together, then turn off the heat immediately)
Pour step 3 into the pre-steamed rice, and let the rice absorb all the broth
Steam again over rapidly boiling water on high heat for 10 minutes
