Thoughts | Recently, I’ve added two best friends to my brewing routine: a shaker and a WDT. Even though I grind with a Comandante, I transfer the coffee into a shaker, give it a shake, then move it into the dripper. I’ve noticed the coffee bed is fluffier, which helps promote a more even extraction, especially during the blooming stage. Instead of shaking the entire dripper to flatten the bed, I use a WDT to gently even out the surface. Worth giving it a try 😉

Still feels like a dream ✨ Hearing the emcee call my name round after round that night… I thought: “So this is what hitting the jackpot feels like!”🥹

They say winning an Aeropress championship is all about luck. I say… 50/50. Half luck, half the amazing people behind me.

For the luck, I thanks Tua Pek Kong and Kuan Yim Ma for watching over me. You guys rock🤘

For the amazing people behind, I want to thanks my coach, mentor, coffee encyclopedia, and the kindest teacher I could ask for who ask nothing in return. Thank you 🙇🏻 The emcee wouldn’t have called me a champion without you. Ready for national? 😉

Big shoutouts to: for making this happen. It’s no easy task. for the perfect venue (I didn’t even sweat), for roasting such a sweet, sweet coffee (not sarcasm, really). All 5 judges, thank you for sacrificing your tongues for us. Glad you enjoyed my brews 🥹 Congratulations to the other top 7. Let’s do this again in national 🙌

It’s our last week brewing before a quick caffeine-fueled adventure to Jakarta! We’re heading to the expo to meet some awesome coffee folks and explore beans, and gadgets from all over the globe. It’s gonna be so much fun 😀

We’ll be taking just a short break and will be back behind the bar on 23rd but do come for your coffee and bakes before we take off.

Also… nasi padang, here we come! 🤤

Gong Xi Fatt Cai 🧧🎏 Before this lunar year end, we wanna thank you for all your support 🥹 We are turning 4 this March. Can you imagine? Four years already!! Thank you for your continuous support and believing in our coffee and bakes 😉❤️ We are granting ourselves a little rest and we will see you on Thursday! 👋

We brew as usual during this CNY🧧 Only closed for “miao hui” as most of the streets surrounding us will be closed for the event 🎏

We are looking to HIRE one or two part-time helper to assist us manage the floor. We are looking for female who find joy in serving people delicious coffee and bakes. Someone who enjoy interacting with nice people (cus we don’t welcome rude customers anyway). With or without experience is fine cus we believe passion and right attitude are more important. Also, you need to be able to speak ok English, ok Mandarin and ok Bahasa Melayu. We also hope you will be able to work throughout or most of our operations hours from Thursday-Monday. If this ring a bell, PM us! 😉

Tips : If you visited our shop before, you probably greeted and attended by a multi-talented girl who is also assisting our brewer. We are looking for someone to take up her spot (becus she is leaving us for a permanent job 🥲) If you think you like her superwoman role in our space, we want you! But if you haven’t been to our place, do come!

We don’t know why but this week is our last week of brewing (again) 🙇🏻🙇🏻‍♀️ We are taking our LAST short break of the year to Bangkok 🇹🇭 We will be closed on 5th Nov until 14th Nov and be back on the 15th Nov, Friday. We vowed to brew as usual till CNY after this💪😬

Oh but do check out brewer’s new kettle handle sleeve 😍 It was created for aesthetic purpose but surprisingly it gives better grip and better weight distribution for your hand during pouring and hence, greatly enhanced pouring’s stability with lesser effort 🤩 Thanks again YT’s friend!

It is interesting how the universe work. It surprises you, pleasantly, when you least expect it. So please be patient and let the universe work on its rather relaxing schedule 😄
