Raised by her elder brother, Madam Teh inherited the art of frying oyster omelette from him. What started as a single wok and a secret sauce has grown into the beloved taste known today as Popo Fried Oyster. Her signature house-made chili – a closely guarded family recipe – is the soul of every plate we serve. In 2019, her eldest son, Dave Koh, returned from Singapore and rebranded the original "Penang Fried Oyster" into “Popo Fried Oyster”, in honor of his mother and the flavor of home.
