Congratulations on the outstanding achievement of Lee’s longtime dream and a very successful grand opening of the Mitigare Hospice Care Lee Carter Center today! It was a joyful culmination of years of vision, planning, fundraising, dedication, commitment and contributions from many generous individuals and organizations, including The Rotary Foundation. A huge thank you to the 25 members of the Midday Rotary Club who attended, including Lee, Carla C., Joe, Teri, José, Melody, Robin, Ron F., Linda, John D., Ron L., Carla E., Norman, Michael, David B., Phillip, Enrique, Nory, Jill, Layla, Tom, Gary, John P., Pat and Andrea. (I hope I didn’t miss anyone.) Rotary District 4140 Secretary Perla Nunez and members of Club Rotario, the SMART Club and the SMA Rotaract Club attended. Sofia and Oliverio represented the City. Some of our projects’ community partners were also present, including Ezequiel of Apoyo and Gisela from SEG. Arlene, one of our Girls’ Empowerment Program teachers, also attended. Bravo!
