Time sure flies when you are having fun.

As we start to pack things up, we want to take a few minutes to express our gratitude to our “day one” customer.
We want to send out a special thank you to the one and only Dr. Mike Chappell. Dr. Chappell, you have supported MaiPai for all our 5 years of existence. When we first opened, you were our number one cheerleader and we are blessed to say that is true even today when we are about to close. When we started “Friday lunches”, you were there; when we expanded, you were there; on our bad days, you were there; and on our good days, you cheered us on. We have enjoyed serving you your usual (filter coffee) and our many Saturday conversations about everything and anything. Your dedication to MaiPai has been greatly appreciated.

Thank you for always choosing MaiPai!

We will miss you.

Although we have not yet had any confirmed cases in Malawi, it is wise for us to get a head start on prevention.
In light of this, we have made the decision to reduce our hours of operation to 10am to 3pm effective today. As we will be closing MaiPai in a short week, we felt this was the best compromise so that we get to say a proper goodbye.
We have increased our cleaning and sanitizing routines so that we can continue to provide a clean and sanitized environment.

We hope to see, but at the very least hear from you before we go.
