CHEF NEEDED AT JEDS CAFÉ

Jeds Café is a locally inspired food business located at Noma Shopping Centre, Room 10, near Target School in Mchengautuba, Mzuzu. We are looking for a passionate, creative, and business-minded Chef to take full charge of kitchen and café operations. This is more than a cooking job, we are looking for a leader who will run all food-related affairs and play a key role in growing the café.
✅ Responsibilities:
Prepare a wide range of foods:
Pastries & Snacks
Fast and comfort foods
Sweets & desserts
Local Malawian dishes & drinks
Design creative, profitable menus
Set fair and competitive food prices
Find and grow a customer base for bulk or regular food orders
Help drive marketing and café growth
Ensure quality control, hygiene, and excellent service

‍🍳 Requirements:
Proven experience in the food industry, especially in baking, snacks, and local foods
Good business sense and ability to manage daily operations
Must be proactive, creative, and customer-focused
Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision

💰 Salary:

Grade J (Entry level) — Grade I (based on experience and performance)
