Wait ✋️... WHAT?
LIKE CLOSING FOR GOOD?

Yes... we are closing our doors and putting Kaza to sleep.

My news may come as a surprise…After 11 years of birthing, building and growing Kaza — 8 of those from our current site — the time has come for me - Filly - to bow out of this space, with pride of having achieved what I did: being part of many communities and creating our own, building the amazing team we have, hosting the wonderful customers we have attracted, holding the energy we are known for and having achieved the objectives of the Kaza Ethos that I set out to fulfil.

I leave on the crest of the wave, having enjoyed the swim out, finding the wave and riding it with a heart full of love.

This has not been an easy decision at all. I still deeply deeply love what Kaza is, and what it stands for — the Kaza family, the team and customers who love our vibe and are part of our tribe, the energy of our events, the community we’ve encouraged, and the way we’ve been able to support local suppliers, projects, people who need help in different ways, many talented creatives, and so many people who have found a sense of belonging here.

Why am I doing this? Because my heart is asking and calling me towards new waves and different beaches to explore and while change is hard I believe we owe it to ourselves..to myself...to go on a new adventure...because celebrating life is good.

Life happens to us..and yet- also..we can make life happen for us. I believe in having agency and turning my sails to new winds...and will be pursuing other passions I have in life..and will share there as they unfold and im ready to share them.

Thank you for respecting my choice even if you don’t understand it. Can we ever truly understand other people's experiences?

THERE IS A SILVER LINING TOO...

This space and spirit will continue - Tshidi, will be taking this forward as her own business called in the same venue, with the same heart, values, and care for the community and so much of what you cherish here will live on.
