Traditional food and COVID-19

That is why, as news of an outbreak of a second wave of the COVID-19 in Malawi continues to dominate both public and private discussions, Lesa’s out-door catering and restaurant services are now offering and serving its valued customers nutritious traditional food choices that helps the body to prevent, fight and recover from infections, including COVID-19.

Take a break, rest and productively ease some moments away

Lesa Café is a stop-over along the main (M1) road from Lilongwe to the country’s northern regions. It is a place well located for travellers to take a break, rest and productively while away some time as they eat or take away packaged food, text phone messages, type some work in their laptops, drink, visit the toilets or check the maps etc.
The complex accommodating Lesa Café has various facilities including the restaurant, supermarket, fuel (gas) station, mobile airtime, travel brochures and restrooms
A visible roadsign is posted along the road to give drivers advance notice to prepare to turn and enter the café area.
The café area is generally safe and secure as staff from the café, the supermarket and gas station are always on high security alert. However, visitors are always asked to take extra precaution and also be alert themselves.
It is important to take note that the café area or its parking spaces are not intended to be places where fatigued drivers and passengers can stop to catch some sleep. Lodges and motels are available close by.
