Paul’s Parish Church in the heart of Rabat, the suburb village of the old capital city of Mdina. The Grotto Tavern restaurant boasts a typical Maltese house of character features, embracing a natural 2000-year-old cave. Succeeding a more recent interior restructure has suitably fused the old characteristics with the modern features, creating a sincere neighbourly and intriguing space where to dine

We are delighted to share that Grotto Tavern has officially reopened following a thoughtful renovation.
Led by Daniela Pisani and Chef Zachary Azzopardi, we have refreshed our space, refined our vision, and introduced a new menu that celebrates exceptional ingredients and memorable dining experiences.
While embracing this new chapter, our commitment remains unchanged: warm hospitality, outstanding food, and unforgettable moments.
We have loved welcoming our first guests this week and look forward to welcoming many more.
