♟️ Chess Event Announcement – 7th June ♟️

Join us on Sunday, 5th of July for an exciting Swiss System chess event (10+2 time control), hosted by a FIDE Master who will also be playing in the tournament!

This event takes place right after a FIDE-rated tournament, making it a great opportunity to keep the momentum going, get more competitive games in, and test yourself against strong opposition in a relaxed but serious setting.

You’ll also have the chance to play against Hatters Chess Team members and regular customers, including players who recently represented us in the FIDE-rated event.

Expect a strong field, good atmosphere, and plenty of competitive chess.

⏱️ 10+2 time control
🏆 Hosted & played by a FIDE Master
🔥 Play a variety of levels of local competition
🤝 Open to competitive players and the casual chess player and all bar customers.

Spaces may be limited—early sign-up is recommended.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our very first Social Club event. We couldn't have asked for a better start!

It was fantastic to see so many people come together, make new connections, share great conversations, and create such a welcoming atmosphere. The energy, laughter, and support from everyone who attended made the event a real success.

What a fantastic couple of days of chess!

After two days filled with great games, friendly competition, learning opportunities, and plenty of laughs, we wrapped things up with our very own First Sunday of Every Month Casual Chess Tournament.
A huge thank you to everyone who participated, supported, and helped make the event such a success. Whether you were competing, spectating, or simply enjoying the atmosphere, you helped create a welcoming and enjoyable experience for all.

Part 1 of our first Sunday chess event.

It was wonderful to see players of all ages and abilities coming together to share their passion for the game. From carefully calculated attacks to unexpected tactical surprises, every round brought excitement and showcased the spirit of our growing chess community.

We're already looking forward to next month's tournament and seeing even more faces around the board. Until then, keep studying, keep playing, and most importantly, keep enjoying the game.

Day 1 of 2 is in the books for the Hatter Chess Team as they proudly represent us at their very first FIDE-rated chess tournament! ♟️

It's been a fantastic experience so far, with our players gaining valuable competitive experience, testing their skills against strong opposition, and making us proud every step of the way.

We're looking forward to seeing how they get on in tomorrow's final rounds and wish the whole team the very best of luck!

Once the tournament wraps up tomorrow evening, we'll be heading straight into our own casual chess event 07:30pm — and there's still time to join in. Whether you're an experienced player or just enjoy a friendly game, we'd love to see you there and give you the chance to compete against members of the Hatter Chess Team.
