This Friday we will be back at Cosy Club from 6pm. It will be the last Steppe Inne of the year so I hope many of you will make it across.

For those who fancy a flutter, there will be a charitable horse race (or two) so please bring cash to place your bets!

There is no requirement to be British but it might help if you understand their humour (or are willing to chuckle regardless).

Good Afternoon,

As you hopefully know next Saturday (26th) the British Association of Trade & Commerce in Mongolia (BATCM) will be hosting The Royal Gala at the Shangri-La hotel. Make sure you get your ticket before they're gone!

This week has also seen the start of the football World Cup in Qatar and a strong showing so far from European sides including Wales and England.

The Shangri-La have offered use of the private area off the Naadam Bar this Friday evening to host Steppe Inne guests as well as providing drinks from a private bar within the area and a special Steppe Inne menu. They will put a large screen TV in the area so people who wish to can watch the early game, Wales Vs Iran. Later England will be victorious over the USA, albeit with a 3am kick off!

Steppe Inne will be held this evening from 6pm at Cosy Club. Hope to see you there!

Remember Remember.....

The Steppe Inne explodes back into your lives this Friday evening as we conspire together over a few Friday drinks at the Cosy club from 6pm. 5 minutes walk from Shangri-La so you won't freeze on the way.

Sentiment towards blowing up Parliament with barrels of gunpowder and burning effigies on bonfires has largely subsided in the UK these days, as Guy Fawkes Night/Gunpowder Treason Day passes our calendars this weekend more serenely. Afterall the combustibles are needed to keep everyone warm this winter instead.

Good Afternoon,

Friday 21st October represents 217 years since the Battle of Trafalgar and 110 years since Mongolia and Russia signed a treaty to expel Chinese troops from Mongolian territory. This has no particular relevance whatsoever but may yet add another joyous morsel to a Friday night Steppe Inne conversation. The Steppe will gather as usual at Cosy Club from 6pm and your presence, wit and warmth are welcome.

The Steppe Inne will congregate this Friday, 30th September, at the Cosy Club. Come along and celebrate the steady departure of the + sign on your thermometer, amongst other seasonal delights, with friends and colleagues from 6pm.

Good Morning,

The Steppe Inne will be held as usual this evening at the Cosy Club, from 6pm.

At 6.30pm, we will hold a small toast to the Queen, to commemorate her memory.

Queen Elizabeth II passed away yesterday, 8th September 2022. She had been Queen of the United Kingdom and other Commonwealth countries from the age of 26 and her reign lasted 70 years. She is succeeded by her son, King Charles III.

The British Embassy Club (Steppe Inne), Ulaanbaatar, was based in the grounds of the British Embassy. The Inne opened in 1998 but finally closed its doors in 2019 due to re-location of the Embassy. We are now promoting the Steppe Inne Club that we hope will continue to raise funds for good causes in Mongolia
