Linkage Restaurant is a social project of Tha Ngae Chin Myar (Friends Myanmar), providing vocational training in hospitality to young people, and finding them jobs in that industry when they graduate. It also supports the social impact projects implemented by Friends in the local community.

Our Story

Linkage Restaurant is a social project as well as a link to Forever Humanitarian & Development Projects, a volunteer group founded in 2010. It is a pretty corner in crowded downtown of Yangon, Myanmar where you can enjoy a great collection of Myanmar Fine Art (paintings) and delicious food prepared and served by enthusiastic young adolescents with dignity!

LinkAge is started in 2011 after receiving French Government’s Human Rights Prize (2010). LinkAge became financially break even in 2015 and is technically supported by Friends-International and TREE Alliance in quality control, financial transparency and accountability.

From 2018, LinkAge is supported by Smile Together Partnership (STP) programme initiated by Work Together Foundation (WT Foundation). Thanks to STP, LinkAge could finally train 3 times more students per year and is on its way to expansion.
