Karaweik Palace is the restaurant on a famously well-designed Karaweik Birds barge in the heart of Karaweik Lake in Yangon. The Palace was completed in 1974.

The palace will surround you with ancient Myanmar Traditional architecture and with live Myanmar Culture Performances. Karaweik Palace is one of Yangon’s many landmarks which attracts foreigners with its impressive Karaweik Birds structure on Kandawgyi Lake. From far, the palace looks like huge golden birds floating on the lake. At night, once the barge is lit up,the view of the palace on the lake is very stunning and breathtaking. It is very attractive scenery to take pictures! The inside of the palace is perfectly decorated with many Myanmar Traditional architectural pieces.
