Savory traditional fritters are a popular Burmese snack to munch on😋 In this picture, you find fried gourd and onions paired with our version of a Burmese salad seated on traditional Bagan style lacquerware. This version of a traditional Burmese salad has an assortment of common herbs, young leaves and pennywort mixed with Burmese tomatoes, onions, ginger and chili combined with our version of a classic Burmese tamarind sauce. The sauce is a mixture of tamarind, jaggery and ginger juice mixed with garlic and chili. It gives it a sweet and spicy taste that you would not find on a salad anywhere else in the world 🌍 🇲🇲 It is also easy to make and enjoy at home 👨‍🍳

We started testing out a new recipe; beetroot dark chocolate cake😋. It is rich in cocoa, moist and melts in your mouth. We wanted to substitute flour for beetroot because it is a healthier and not limited in nutritional value. 👩‍🍳 Flour contains almost no fiber, protein or healthy fat for the calories it supplies. At Ngapalibay Kitchen, we want to create food and desserts that are delicious and healthy. 👩‍🍳✌️
