We proud to say that we represent this wine in Myanmar
Gambero Rosso "Vini d'Italia 2021" Guide awarded Santa Margherita Gruppo Vinicolo as "Winery of the Year”.
An award achieved also thanks to Santa Margherita, progenitor of the Group, born in 1935 from the vision of Count Gaetano Marzotto, showing how a growth path based on sustainability, innovation, and good production practices is the winning bet.
Sustainability goes through the intense focus on the large “carbon neutrality" program, eliminating the carbon footprint of almost 2 million bottles produced annually by manufacturing more than 90% of its bottles in its own facility just a few steps from the main winery.
Innovation is a Santa Margherita hallmark. Revolution in the world of wine goes through the ability to identify changes in lifestyle and consumption habits, helped by keeping a careful eye on the more than 90 different markets spread over 5 continents. Over the years innovation has spread into other areas of the business, such as exports and digitalization.
The Group has always stood out because of its unusual but prudent choices, able to predict changes in consumer tastes and drinking habits, like the pioneering in turning Glera grapes from the hills of Valdobbiadene into a sparkling wine (the famous Prosecco Superiore) and the trendsetting in the global phenomenon of Pinot Grigio, as it is known today.
