Hello Hello! Today we want to share another coffee processing method - the washed or wet process - with you guys.🤎
We have previous posts about honey process and dry natural process, so if you haven't read about that yet, you can check it out on our socials.💕
So what's different about the fully washed process? One thing all these processes have in common is the sorting stage where the coffee cherries are floated in water to remove the unripe ones.
However, unlike, honey or dry natural process, after the sorting stage, the outer skin and the mucilage of the coffee beans is removed before going through the fermentation stage where the beans are put into large water tanks and the remaining pulp and mucilage are removed. After fermentation, the beans are taken out of the tanks and left to dry on raised beds.
Fully washed coffee are often light-bodied and usually have brighter and higher acidic notes. ☕️
And of course, it's available at our cafe so next time you visit us, we'd like to recommend you to sample it!
