တစ်ခုကို ပိုကြိုက်ကြောင်းပြောမယ်ဆိုရင် -

ကျွန်တော် tea ထက် coffee ကို ပိုကြိုက်တယ်

“I am bored” or “I am boring”?
ငါ ပျင်းတယ် ကို ပြောမယ်ဆိုရင် bored နဲ့ boring ဘာသုံးပြီးပြောကြမလဲ
မှတ်ရလွယ်အောင် pattern လေးကြည့်ကြမယ်

Subject + be (am,is,are,was,were) + (adjective)-ed
ဆိုရင် ခံစားချက် feelings တွေကို ဖော်ပြတာပါ

I + am + bored. ငါပျင်းတယ်
He + is + tired. သူပင်ပန်းနေတယ်
They + are + excited. သူတို့ စိတ်လှုပ်ရှားနေကြတယ်

Subject + be (am,is,are,was,were) + (adjective)-ing
ဆိုရင်တော့ အဲ့ feelings တွေကို ဖြစ်စေတဲ့ အကြောင်းကိုပြောတာပါ

The movie + is + boring. ရုပ်ရှင်က ပျင်းစရာကောင်းတယ်
His job + is + tiring. သူ့အလုပ်က ပင်ပန်း(ရ/စေ)တယ်
The trip + is + exciting. ခရီးက စိတ်လှုပ်ရှားစရာကောင်းတယ်

အဲ့ဒီတော့ “ငါပျင်းတယ်” လို့ပြောချင်ရင် “I am bored” လို့ပြောမှမှန်ပါတယ် “I am boring” ဆိုရင် “ငါက ပျင်းစရာကောင်းတယ်” ဖြစ်သွားပါလိမ့်မယ်

Nouns Pluralization Rules: Rules to change singular nouns to plural nouns
နာမ်အနည်းကိန်းတွေကို နာမ်အများကိန်းပြောင်းရန် စည်းမျဉ်းများ

1. For most nouns, add -s
များသောအားဖြင့် -s ထည့်ပါ
• cat -> cats
• book -> books
• chair -> chairs

2. For nouns ending in -s, -ss, -sh, -ch, -x, -z, add -es
-s, -ss, -sh, -ch, -x, -z တို့ဖြင့် ဆုံးသော နာမ်များကို -es ပေါင်းထည့်ပါ
• bus -> buses
• box -> boxes
• brush -> brushes

3. (a) For nouns ending in -y, change y to i and add -es
-y ဖြင့် ဆုံးသော နာမ်ဖြစ်ပါက -y ကို i ပြောင်း၍ -es ပေါင်းထည့်ပါ
• baby -> babies
• party -> parties
• city -> cities

(b) For nouns ending in -y but preceded by a vowel, simply add -s
-y ဖြင့် ဆုံးသော်လည်း -y ရှေ့တွင် သရ ရှိနေပါက -s ထည့်ပါ
• toy -> toys
• key -> keys
• boy -> boys

4. For some nouns ending in -f or -fe, change -f, fe to -ves
တချို့သော -f သို့မဟုတ် -fe ဖြင့် ဆုံးသော နာမ်များတွင် -f သို့မဟုတ် -fe ကိုဖြုတ်၍ -ves ပေါင်းထည့်ပါ
• knife -> knives
• leaf -> leaves
• wolf -> wolves

Exceptions: some only add -s
ခြွင်းချက်အနေဖြင့် တချို့ကို -s သာပေါင်းထည့်ပါသည်
• roof -> roofs
• chief -> chiefs

5. Vowel(s) change inside the word
စာလုံးထဲမှ သရများကိုပြောင်းခြင်း
• man -> men
• tooth -> teeth
• woman -> women

6. Completely irregular forms
မူမမှန်ပုံစံများ
• child -> children
• mouse -> mice

7. No change (same in singular & plural)
အနည်းကိန်းရော အများကိန်းမှာပါ ပြောင်းလဲမှုမရှိသည့်ပုံစံများ
• sheep -> sheep
• fish -> fish
• deer -> deer

8. (a) For nouns ends in -o, add -es
-o ဖြင့် ဆုံးသော နာမ်များကို -es ပေါင်းပါ
• hero -> heroes
• mango -> mangoes

Exception: some of them are just added -s
ခြွင်းချက်အနေဖြင့် ထိုနာမ်များမှ တချို့ကို -s သာပေါင်းထည့်သည်များလည်းရှိပါသေးသည်
• photo -> photos
• kilo -> kilos

(b) For nouns ends in -o and preceded by a vowel, add only an -s
-o ဖြင့်ဆုံးသော်လည်း o ရှေ့တွင် သရ ရှိနေပါကလည်း -s သာပေါင်းထည့်ပါ
• bamboo -> bamboos
• video -> videos
