October changes the rhythm.

The days get shorter, the Old Town gets cosier, and the city moves indoors — galleries, concert halls, cafés and late dinners.

A few of our favourite ways to experience Vilnius this month.
Save them for your next day in the city.

For the fifth consecutive year, we are honoured to receive this recognition for the experience we believe in: thoughtful care, a sense of calm and a deeper way to pause.

This year at ArtVilnius, Café de Pacai presents The Eye, a chocolate confection created in response to The Observer — The Basin That Watches, an audiovisual installation by Patricija Vytytė

At the centre of The Observer is water. Its surface becomes both projection and acoustic membrane, responding to the slightest movement. Microphones capture your presence and translate it into sound and light, gradually making you part of the work. You watch the water, but slowly realise that the space is watching and listening back.

Inspired by the installation, Café de Pacai chef Evaldas Juska created THE EYE: salted sea caramel with cedar pine nut praline.

The shimmering surface of the basin reminded him of the Lithuanian sea in that fleeting moment between midday and sunset, when the water takes on an almost golden glow. And The Observer carried him into the pine forest on the way back from the shore.

It brought him back to one question: is he observing nature, or is nature, this time, observing him?

Experience THE EYE alongside The Observer at ArtVilnius · October 2-4

A new distinction now marks the story of Hotel PACAI.

Hotel PACAI has been awarded One MICHELIN Key in the MICHELIN Guide 2026 — a recognition of exceptional hospitality and of places that leave an impression long after the stay itself. For PACAI, this Key represents something even greater: the dedication of every person who has opened a door, poured a coffee, remembered a name, noticed a detail, stayed a little longer, and cared a little more.

To our team — this is your achievement.

A proud chapter in the story of PACAI, and one we will remember for years to come.

Where history meets modern form.

Our walls bear the marks of the 17th century, yet our spirit looks entirely forward. At Hotel PACAI, authentic Baroque frescoes coexist beautifully with clean, contemporary Lithuanian design. A thoughtful dialogue between what was and what is.
