Bogawantalawa Tea celebrated the 50th Anniversary of World Environmental Day with many sustainability initiatives in keeping with its overall Climate-Smart goals. On the estates Bogawantalawa Teas planned a series of activities from 5th to 10th June as an awareness campaign taking collective responsibility to protect the planet. The projects were intended to generate a lasting impact while encouraging individuals and communities to adopt sustainable practices and to maintain them throughout their day-to-day activities.

We stand in solidarity with the workers of the world as we strongly believe that it's those who work the hardest that make this world rock.. From the harvesters and supervisors at ground-level across all our plantations to the many factory staff, these employees make it all a reality.

As a responsible organisation we are committed to uplifting their Ives and have initiated several programmes through which benefits are given to workers aimed at continuously improving their lives.

We recognise that our workforce is indeed our real strength and at Bogawantalawa we pioneered the minimum living wage initiative to ensure a better livelihood across all our staff.
