We visited Golden Taste for lunch after looking for somewhere that would offer local food...we weren't disappointed. The place was full of locals with a regular stream of takeaway orders being picked up as well. Menu of about 10 dishes all served with rice, pie, salad and various vegetables. I had the lambi and my wife the shrimp. Both were cooked perfectly and all was served with a selection of sauces and salad dressing. If you go you must also try the rum punch, very refreshing ......but probably best to stick to one!!! We will definitely return before we leave the island.

"We really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere in this local restaurant in Gros Islet. The service was very good, the food was excellent and the prices were much lower than the restaurants in the Rodney Bay area. They start serving food from 12:00 PM" Thank you Cristi!

"The ribs here are amazing and we had a great night out. There is a nice local vibe to this place as it is in a small building in Gros Islet near the waterfront. The food is amazing and so are the prices. The staff are so kind and friendly. This place is a must go to if you have a few days in St Lucia." Thank you Bernard for that superb review!
