Our coffee is amongst the best on island, our refreshing juice and smoothie options extensive, as are our in house baked goods. Menu items are subject to change to keep it fresh and interesting. We have an extensive range of fabulous loose leaf teas and all the items needed to make the perfect brew. Our kombucha is in hot demand, as are the flaxseed & veggie wraps with assorted fillings and banana

Okay this might seem a bit random but these have been popping up in several places here already and whilst we’ve been admiring their miniature blooms & ability to thrive anywhere, Blair from recently informed me these are an invasive Chinese orchid!

Native to tropical Asia, introduced to the U.S. (Florida and Texas) mid-2000s and known for aggressively displacing native plants by forming dense monocultures in mulched beds, rocklands, and hammocks.

So refrain from nabbing these from any pots to plant in your gardens!

Mr Fabian, who many of you will recognise as the man in uniform downtown spreading joy far and wide, along with his wife and volunteers are farming organically in Newlands and feeding elderly people in need. Who else shares this vision?…one of fresh thoughtful food and genuine hospitality. Bringing people together not in pursuit of perfection, but in the simple act of showing up for one another. Rooted in community and guided by a desire to live lightly and well, a space where connection, care and conversation matter just as much as what’s on the plate.

I want this content to remain authentic and our aversion to posting for the sake of it is where we have shied away from others taking this over in the past. There is enough noise out there as it is and instead of just benefiting ourselves and the content creator, if we can turn this into a community notice board of sorts where we share cool ideas and people doing positive things in the community then it becomes impactful and a place to lift eachother up, a place to share ideas and connect with the community. So, inspired by and instead of spending money on content creation, we’ll put $500 each month to a local project that benefits the community, starting May! Share with us and tag and to nominate and we’ll announce at the end of each month.
