About our name – Mise en Place (pronounced “meez on plahss”) is a French culinary term that refers to the organization and preparation of all ingredients and equipment to be used in cooking or serving food. The literal translation is “set in place”. It was a phrase that MEP founder and managing director Sean Collins heard countless times while studying at Johnson and Wales College of Food Innovation and Technology in the USA.

Last week, the Mise en Place & Co. team was delighted to attend the Career Masters Cayman Future Flex Conference.

It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with students who are exploring their next steps and shaping their future paths.

The conference brought together high schoolers, industry leaders, and employers in a setting designed for meaningful conversation, practical insight, and genuine connection. Our team enjoyed discussing the wide range of opportunities across our Family of Cayman Brands - from Accounting to culinary positions, marketing, operations, and more. There truly is something for everyone.

Mise en Place & Co. is proud to share that we will be supporting the first phase of a brand‑new playground for Red Bay Primary School.

A playground is more than equipment - it’s where children imagine, grow, and feel safe. And we’re honoured to help make that possible.

Our team has been part of the Red Bay Primary family for years through our school catering service, Nourishing Cayman’s children is a responsibility we hold with deep pride, and supporting their wellbeing beyond the lunch table feels like a natural extension of that mission.

Thank you to Red Bay Member of Parliament Mr A. Roystn (Roy) Tatum, the , Principal Dr. Ryan Dale, and the entire Red Bay community for championing this project.

This weekend, Cayman came together for the first One Mas Carnival - a celebration of culture, colour, and community.

What made it even more meaningful for us was seeing Soca Not Seizures on the road in support , a cause close to our hearts.

Our team was right there with the jumpers, keeping everyone fuelled on the road.

From the road vibes to the reason we were out there - this is the kind of community spirit that inspires us every day.
