Kobalt is my favorite kind of blue: rich, cool, and unique. Maybe it's the color, but Kobalt is one of my favorite cafes in Seoul. It’s been here for many years. In this neighborhood, that's not easy. It's good to have a place that stays the same.

Kobalt is very comfortable but stylish at the same time. Many cafes in Korea try to be like a European cafe, but cafe Kobalt is the only place that got the vibe right. There’s no dime-a-dozen nordic furniture. It's quite dim, calm, and quiet. A perfect place for a romantic date.

I would eat everything on cafe Koblat's menu. Their beverage selection is perfect. The have good tea, fresh juices, beer and wines, and coffee. Also, you don't see doppio (double espresso in Italian) anywhere else. Their dessert section is great too; it's not one of those bakeries where chocolate covered croissants count as dessert. Their coffee is great but their milk tea is by far the best. I love that you can adjust your own sweetness. That’s the hardest part of nailing a milk tea!
