My time in St. Kitts and Nevis has come to an end.
I took my first breath of life here in St. Kitts and was christened at St. Johnsonâs Methodist Church. The Methodist community laid the foundation for all of my stage performances and public endeavors. From recitals and scripture readings to public speaking, the church nurtured my confidence and voice. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working in the administration of the St. Kitts Tourism Authority, contributing to our islandâs cultural and tourism initiatives, as well as participating in the St. Kitts Music Festival. I have lectured at the local college, acted on stage, sung Calypso, taken part in pageantry, served as a judge for various Carnival competitions, and pursued entrepreneurship. It has been a wonderful journey, and I am deeply grateful for all that St. Kitts and Nevis has allowed me to experience in such a short space of time.
Thank you all for the tremendous love, support, and connection youâve shown The Soup CafĂ© over the years. Serving this community â locals, visitors, and friends from around the world â has been one of the greatest honours of my life. Every bowl served came with a story, a relationship, and a feeling of family. I will always cherish that trust and support.
As life moves in seasons, I now find myself aligning with a new chapter â one that calls me to be more present for my aging parents. Family is everything to me, and this transition allows me to honour that responsibility with the care and attention it deserves.
As part of this new phase, The Soup CafĂ© by Unoma Allen will be managed by The local entity(The Difference') from December 11â31, ensuring continuity of service through the end of the year as we complete the operational handover.
Please note: The CafĂ©âs current contact number, 660-7687, will remain active until December 31st. After that date, the new entity will share their updated contact information.
Effective January 1, The Soup Café will officially close, and Company(The Difference') will assume full ownership and management of the establishment under a new brand and direction. While The Soup Café as you know it will no longer exist, I am confident the new team will bring their own unique vision and continue serving the community with excellence.
I know this announcement may come as a surprise. This departure is both personal and emotional for me, and stepping away quietly felt like the healthiest choice. Though I did not say goodbye individually, please know that every connection we shared remains deeply appreciated.
Thank you again for allowing both me â and The Soup CafĂ© â to be a meaningful part of your lives. This island will always be a part of me, and I carry each memory with me as I move into this next chapter.
