🟑 Wednesday is the cheap one. πŸ”΅

Three dollars. All day. Pay once at the door and the room is yours until we close. No top-up, no second ticket when the evening starts.

That same three dollars rolls straight into Game Night from 6pm: a wall of board games, pick one, find a table. Or take the One-Shot D&D seat instead: five dollars, 6 to 9pm, one full story start to finish, six seats and they go by Tuesday.

Tea, coffee, soda, AC, all on. I checked.

Bring the loud one. 🎲

🟑 Monday, and the kitchen's showing off. πŸ”΅

Noo's Market Menu, 20% off all day. Real Khmer plates: crispy pork belly and kale, char kadaow, pad gra pao. $4.20 a dish, or any two with fried rice for $9, all in.

Good food, no gimmick, upstairs where it's cool and quiet.

Upstairs at Level Up. 🍲

🟑 Monday, and the coffee machine is already earning its keep. πŸ”΅

Someone has claimed the corner with a laptop and the expression of a person who has plans. The aircon is doing its quiet work, and the good chair is still going.

I will not tell anyone.

No screens. No rush. Just the room. β˜•

🟑 The fiftieth membership card went out this week. πŸ”΅ Fifty people have decided that a quiet room full of board games above a restaurant is worth backing. That is not a big number to anyone else. It is a big number to us. If you are one of the fifty, thank you, genuinely. If you are not, come up and see what you have been missing, then tell someone who would like it too. 🟑 Sundays are for the slow ones. πŸ”΅

Any pizza on the menu, six dollars, stone-baked downstairs and carried up. Pull a game off the shelf, share a table, let the afternoon go where it goes.

Pizza and a board. Hard to argue with.

Bring the whole table. πŸ•

🟑 Someone tapped follow this morning and turned it into a round number. πŸ”΅ A thousand of you on Facebook now, which is a good deal more people than actually fit up here. We opened to find out whether Siem Reap wanted somewhere quiet to play games, get some work done and drink decent coffee. Apparently it did. Give it a like, leave a comment, tag the friend who would never leave. And if you are a member, thank you for the support. You backed this early. Upstairs at Level Up 🎲

🟑 Friday, and the good tables fill up early. πŸ”΅

Board games out, someone teaching someone else the rules, the aircon doing its quiet work. No screens, no rush, just a few hours with the people you like.

Come find a game. I'll be here. I'm always here.

🟑 The card table has standards. πŸ”΅

Bridge and card games, running now. Two dollars an hour, the AC is cold, the coffee is free, and someone there always knows the rules better than you, which is the point.

Bring a partner or find one. First hand is the hardest. By the third it clicks.

The kettle is on. πŸƒ

🎲 AFTER SCHOOL BOARD GAME CLUB - Thursdays, 4.00–5.30pm

Ninety minutes, no screens, real games around a real table.

Games Guru Rick teaches a new game each week, then runs the table while the kids play. It looks like an afternoon of fun, and it is. It's also a proper workout: counting and scoring in their heads, planning three moves ahead, spotting a pattern before anyone else does, talking a rival into a trade, waiting their turn, and learning how to win graciously and lose without falling apart.

They finish the session having concentrated on one thing for an hour and a half, and having made friends with kids from schools other than their own.

πŸ‘¦πŸ‘§ Ages 8+ πŸ•“ Thursdays, 4.00–5.30pm, every week πŸ’΅ $6 per child πŸ“ Upstairs at Level Up, above Nomad, Siem Reap

Rick teaches the game and supervises the whole session, so it's up to you: drop them off, stay upstairs and watch, or settle in downstairs at Nomad with a coffee.
