One person can plant a tree.

But a community can protect a forest.

One person can clean a beach.

But a community can change how an ecosystem is treated.

One person can teach a child about mangroves.

But a community can raise a generation that understands why they matter.

That is why local leadership and participation are so important in conservation.

A MANGROVE ISN’T JUST A TREE.

It is shelter for marine life.

It protects the shoreline.

It supports biodiversity.

It stores carbon.

And for coastal communities, healthy mangroves can mean healthier ecosystems and more resilient livelihoods.

But planting mangroves is only the beginning.

The real work is protecting them, monitoring them, educating communities and making sure conservation creates value for the people who live alongside these ecosystems.

That is why community involvement matters.

When communities protect nature, nature protects communities.

MANGROVES ARE MORE THAN TREES.

They are nurseries for marine life.

They help stabilize coastlines.

They provide habitat for fish, prawns, crabs and other species.

They also store carbon and help coastal communities become more resilient to climate change.

But conservation doesn't happen by simply planting a tree and walking away.

It takes communities.

It takes education.

It takes monitoring.

It takes people who are willing to protect what they have restored.

That is why at Prawns Lake, conservation is community-led.

Because when local people are part of the solution, conservation becomes something that can last.
