POVERTY OF THE MIND
Refuse Some Encouragement
In God's own bill of rights; He has given us the right to choose what type of encouragement to receive.
Elikanah tried to comfort Hannah to live as barren by encouraging her to live according to her situation. He told her at some point 'Am I not more than ten sons ? But Hannah refused to be consoled nor be misled and instead continued in faith.
1 Samuel 1:8 Then said Elkanah her husband to her, Hannah, why weepest thou? and why eatest thou not? and why is thy heart grieved? am not I better to thee than ten sons?
PEOPLE WITHOUT FOCUS
Refuse to be comforted by people without faith to remain nor succumb to that prevailing situation.
Neither accept the saying 'it is what it is'.
THE NAYSAYERS
Never settle in poverty, sin, sickness, shame, suffering or negative life conditions but be renewed in the mind.
Avoid such negative talk as
It's over, God won't help, It's normal to live like this, You're cursed, I'm just poor, It won't work or it's impossible.
Say No to pessimism and yes to optimism.
