A Heart Felt Gratitude.
It was my intention; as ethics requires it, to communicate our appreciation as soon as possible after the ceremony we held last Sunday, on 1st of September in Kijiji’s farm garden restaurant. Well, it is now almost a week since. We got carried away by unavoidable engagements, rendering it impossible for me to settle down and write a befitting thanks-giving note. Well it is better late than never, ain’t it!
Fisrt of all, to all our amazing guests; we extend our heartfelt gratitude for joining us at our event. Your enthusiastic participation made it a memorable experience. Your support and encouragement have been invaluable to us. We truly are grateful for your presence and hope you had a fantastic time. We look forward to seeing you all again soon!
To those that could not attend, your apologies were duly noted, and your presence is strongly felt in our hearts. We appreciate your friendship and continuous support.
To our humble guest speaker, Bonface Kyalo, your presence made a significant impact, and we are honored to have met you and the cultural research work that you are invested in. We hope your work finds appreciation in this community. As an institution, we are truly honored to be associated with you and your research work. We are because you are!
To our gifted live performing artist, Liboi, thank you for gracing our event with your presence and positive vibrations that uplifted the entire occasion. Thank you for being there and for your continued support. We truly value it, and look forward to further occasions together.
To our talented moderator Poet Gcho, your genuine interest and active participation were truly inspiring. Thank you for being a part of our journey and for supporting our mission. Thank you for your patience, flexibility, and ability to implement last minute changes with calm and professionalism. We look forward to working with you again!
To every participant that ensured the success of the ceremony; from our gardeners, kitchen staff, members of Koch Scouts Open Troup, Siamanta from Kenya’s Reading Culture, suppliers for sound equipment, tents and chairs, and our security personnel. We acknowledge that it was not easy to handle the pressure, and we are truly grateful for your invaluable input.
Finally to Nafula, our host and author of the novel that was being launched, ‘the moon is ever present,’ we cannot thank you enough for choosing to share your life story with everyone that you have come to meet and interact with. Bless your soul, and may the dream you hold dear for Kijiji Village materialize.
