I’d like to share a quick update with everyone.
Many of you may already know this, but there is the question of *when* the Long-tailed T**s (Shima-enaga) visit our café!
We do post updates, but I wanted to share the details again here.
On average, they start appearing sporadically in January and stay until mid-April, though this varies by year. For instance, last year they didn’t show up at all in January. Please keep in mind that sightings aren’t guaranteed; consider yourself lucky if you spot one! ✌️ Spring brings its own birds, while summer—the season with the fewest wild bird sightings—often sees visits from Ezo squirrels instead. Spotting one of them is a stroke of luck, too! ✌️ Wild bird numbers gradually start to increase again around autumn.
We would appreciate your understanding regarding this. 🙇
Of course, our “Long-tailed Tit” and “Ezo Squirrel” soft-serve ice creams are available year-round!
We’ve recently seen a slight increase in negative reviews from people disappointed not to see Long-tailed T**s during the summer, so we hope for your understanding.
Since this is a matter of nature, it is simply out of our control... It is a shame to travel from afar and miss them, so we encourage you to check the timing before visiting. Thank you for reading this long post to the end! 😊 We look forward to welcoming you all! ✨✨✨
