Sips and Bites is an unpretentious family-run restaurant overlooking the sea on Negril's West-End road. The restaurant is one of the longest running in Negril, having been run by one family for over 20 years; all dishes are cooked to secret family recipes. Sips and Bites specializes in traditional Jamaican meat and seafood dishes such as brown stewed fish, curried conch and ackee and salt-fish, al
l served with the traditional Jamaican accompaniments of rice and peas, dumplings, yams and calla-loo. The restaurant serves a daily special fruit juice, made on the premises from local seasonal fruit, some of which is picked from trees growing around the restaurant. This, along with the real Jamaican home-style cooking makes the restaurant a favorite for Negril locals as well as tourists and has helped Sips and Bites to become a long-time Negril institution.
