Nearly the end of our stay in Dinard. A packed couple of days that included running crepe workshops for high school students from Glastonbury Conneticut, cheese and oyster tasting and a visit to St Malo. Today we visited the fantastic Atelier de la crêpe & the 4 star star Hôtel Restaurant Le Grand Bé & Maison Bordier thank you to our partners Lycée Hôtelier de Dinard, Yvon Bourges for organising this week and making us feel so welcome Highlands College Skills Jersey Jersey Hospitality Association.

Our visit to Dinard is coming to an end after another busy couple of days. We have helped run a crepe workshop for Students from Glastonbury high school, Conneticut and took part in Oyster and cheese tasting. Today we were in sunny St Malo and visited the fantastic Atelier de la crêpe the 4 star hotel Le Grand be and Maison Bordier. La transmission, l’échange et le multi-culturalisme, voilà ce qu’il est ressorti de cette visite du Royal Emeraude MGallery Hotel Collection par les élèves du Highlands Academy Restaurant de Jersey 🇯🇪 (Visit Jersey).
Organisé par le Lycée Hôtelier de Dinard, Yvon Bourges, ce moment de partage a permis aux élèves Français de faire la traduction de ce petit bout d’histoire de la Ville de Dinard qu’est cet hôtel si atypique et attachant présent à deux pas de la plage de l’écluse depuis 1892.

Bonjour from Dinard. Our students have had a busy first day collaborating with our friends from Lycée Hôtelier de Dinard, Yvon Bourges. Did you see us on the TV last week? our students features on ITV channel news for organising an afternoon tea event in collaboration with Dementia Jersey. Part of our future skills tutorial programme, students are undertaking community led projects focused on sustainable development goals (heath & wellbeing). Their objective was to raise awareness of dementia and learn about how businesses, open to the public can become more dementia friendly. This was a great success and very much enjoyed by our guests and families. Our health & social care students were also on hand to support our guests throughout the event, a great collaborative effort from Highlands College students.
