Funghi porcini, tartufi, cacciagione, olio di oliva, pasta fatta a mano, sono solo alcuni dei prodotti genuini che si possono degustare in qualsiasi periodo dell’anno. vietano, offre motivo anche per una suggestiva visita. In essa è presente una vasta scelta di vini pregiati, fra cui il famoso “Orvieto classico”, vino apprezzato fin dai tempi dei romani, al quale spetta un posto d’onore. L’accoglienza e la cordialità dei proprietari contribuiscono a rendere piacevolissimo questo luogo, ideale sia per un incontro a due, che per una colazione di lavoro o una cerimonia.

Today, heard from one of the readers of David Eugene Perry's critically acclaimed novel Upon This Rock set in Orvieto, Italy. Our thanks to William F Wilson for sending along a great treat. Below is a postcard he recently found in a box brought back by his uncle after WWII. His uncle drove an ambulance for the American Field Service during the war and later was a member of the American Friends Service Committee recovery project. We're happy to say that Ristorante Maurizio still exists, serving up delectable Umbrian cuisine.
